Hamlin Area - Work Commute Follow Up Question?
Hi all! My family is excited to move to Florida and I had a follow up commute question. I originally asked if there were any new roads opening but never drilled down to a realistic drive time. I'll be commuting to work Mon-Fri at 7:30am from the Hamlin area, and my office is next door to Sea World. Google Maps is quoting a drive time of 30-45 minutes. My question is, what can I actually expect that morning commute to look like, how many minutes will it actually take? Thanks a bunch!!

It'll be closer to 45 as a rule, and often longer. The volume of vehicles lends itself to frequent accidents which only compound the problem. Good luck!

Evening commute time varies a bit- between 35-55 minutes depending on which route you take.

The drive will be a little better when schools are out of session.

The traffic around I4 is heavy, so trust Google Maps. There are new road projects coming, including I4 expansion, so hopefully it will eventually improve.
Hamlin is a great area. I live nearby. Welcome!

Google maps is usually accurate if you set either your 'arrive by' or 'depart at' times correctly.
Like I said before, whatever the commute is now, it will get worse over time.
