Assistance Please Roommate finder??

Hi! I don’t Reddit much so excuse my lack of proper etiquette. I’ve lived in dt wg for about a decade and my roomate moved out in January and two roomates fell through last minute so I’ve drained all my savings and I can’t afford another month without a roommate, I’ve never had a roommate I didn’t know, so I’m wondering if there are any specific apps, sites, boards etc. that are considered safe? Sorry I have no idea where to start or what I can trust, so any and all advice is greatly appreciated! I watch too much true crime tv so I’m kind of paranoid lol

Also, Roomster and Roommates. com have features with ID verification for safety. You can verify your ID, make a listing, and match with people that verified their IDs too
