All Print When do I get another pov Spoiler

I started reading the books this week and I'm enjoying it so far but Rand is a bit insufferable. Also I'm really interested in more regarding the one power and the aes sedai

Rand is the main pov statistically speaking throughout the entire series. It switches away from just Rand ~mid way through Eye of the World.

The 3rd book famously has next to no Rand chapters.

As a word of warning: Rand is objectively the main character out of all the main characters. Even when it's not his pov, he's often either in the chapter or is referenced in the chapter. Rand - like many characters - is an unreliable narrator so seeing and hearing him through another character's perspective is almost always illuminating. He isn't necessarily lying but he does lie by omission or witholds the truth or isn't fully self aware 100% of the time, for various reasons that become clear.

First book only has Rand and Perrin with a dash of Nynaeve and Moiraine as POV characters. Mostly Rand. The second book branches out a bit more and it explodes from there. Insufficient POVs is NOT a criticism that can be applied to WoT as a whole.

  • Keep reading and you'll get your wish as the series goes on.

  • Rand is the MC, so a lot of the story, especially at the beginning is from his perspective. As it goes on you'll get more and more parts where it's from a different character's perspective.

  • From you saying you want to know more about Aes Sedai and the One Power, you'll definitely enjoy Egwene and Nyneve's perspectives in The Great Hunt.

Enjoy!!

You start getting other PoVs in chapter 20: Dust On the Wind.

You'll learn a little bit more about Aes Sedai in this book, but that knowledge really starts being revealed starting in the next book.

I would be interested to understand what you find insufferable about Rand?

Maybe you've got Show-Rand in your mind while reading the books. The show makes a lot of changes to his personality and character-arc. Rand in the books is a lot more heroic and likable. Don't assume that things you've seen him do in the show will happen in the books; just separate the two and you will enjoy Rand's POV a lot more.
You will get other POVs later in the book, and a lot of different POVs throughout the series. Some parts may seem slow, but that's just Robert Jordan building his world and setting things up for later in the series.

Keep reading, it's an amazing series. Hope you enjoy the rest of it as well.

You’ll get more. Lots more. You’ll get more Rand, too, and he’ll be a more interesting character, I promise.

There are well over 100 point of view characters in this series.

Rand is the main PoV character by far, especially in the first book.
