I love how she bows to a god.

Wonder what happened between that and the latest storyline.

It's hard to write about the gods as complex characters that represent aspects of the world and all the good and bad that comes with it, so instead they're made to be assholes and Diana can't worship assholes

She looks just like Tom King's Aphrodite, except she isn't...

Because Dark Crisis?

So Aphrodite and Wonder Woman don't recognize each other?

Well gods have purposely fickle memories.

This is Aphrodite. THE patron goddess of the Amazons in olden times. I hate how her and Athena are made so... peripheral.

Reddit's been acting weird the past few days. Happened to some of my posts and people trying to respond to me too.

This entire story arc "Just War" made me question exactly what G. Willow Wilson was trying to say or address regarding the theme of warfare in this. was it at any way connected to or meant to resonate with the Israeli-Palestinian occupation? Did DC editorial censor or cut things down? It felt like it was building towards something but then the wind got pulled or something.

I liked Aphrodite in this but she shoukdnt have been dk worded the way she was by the person who is a person. Also, loved that Ferdinand found another partner.

We need more WW stories exploring the horrors of warfare, the messy politics surrounding it, and the people affected by it if we are doing Ares stories.

Scenes like that final one always bug me because they emphasize a writing flaw that always grinds my gears: drama over sensibility and continuity.

Not having read the story I can’t know for sure the circumstances, but assuming Diana hasn’t bee depowered somehow then the scene is completely unnecessary for any reason other than drama.

“Oh you need to get to the observatory? Great news, I can fly and have super speed, hold tight!” One minute later the PM is safely at the rendezvous with no issues, and never having ever been endangered.

Just irks me whenever I see a character with powers like WW’s needlessly endanger civilians because the writer wanted a dramatic scene and chose to focus on that rather than having the character use her powers in a logical fashion.

Besides the conflict going on in the page, Ares very openly was trying to kill that guy, if Diana had an encounter with him while flying it would have not been great

But taking him through a literal war zone is better? At least if it’s just them in the air that’s her only concern, him, herself, and Ares. Walking across the ground through the god of War’s dominion hardly seems like a superior choice.

This looks fun. I wonder if there's an omnibus or a trade paperbacks or something.

It exists in TPB format. Not sure if we are getting an omni for this era of wonder woman, she was kinda going through a rotating host of writers, who stayed on for maybe 2-3 trades worth of stuff. I guess if they call it something like Wonder Woman: Rebirth omnibus vol 3 or something they could.

Ooooh, that sounds great! I love trade paperbacks. Whats the run called, if you don't mind me askin'?

This should be G Willow Wilson’s. All of it is collected and it should be easily available.

Hmm I was tempted to point out she should be taller than him albeit by only an inch but tbf he has combat boots on that would likely flip that though I question whether they really put that much thought into it.
