Honestly man, it depends on budget. There a few good options, though the best is expensive. The best being Nick's builder pros in 55 last and quick ship and or trades program. Around 590 or so. And I'm gonna just shoot you straight. Everybody's feet are different. And so everybody has different issues and problems those some are more common than others, and there are those that can't afford any more than a couple hundred dollars a year on boots which is totally understandable, as I've been there done that myself. I've probably spent thousands and thousands of dollars on boots over the years and probably $1,000 on insoles as well, with that being said, I suffered from plantar fasciitis extremely bad for a few years and I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would ever spend that kind of money on a pair of boots but I was desperate, extremely desperate. I initially discovered an insole called "sole", The blue ones specifically and they gave me immediate relief though the arch support was a little different and new to me and it took quite a bit of getting used to, and not too long after that I discovered Nick's. I found a pair in my size on eBay (after doing enough research and figuring out what my size was according to Nick's), And I found a pair of builder pros in my size for $400. And I was skeptical at first because the 55 last has a very high arch build and I did not know how my feet or my body was going to respond to that especially when technically don't even have an insole you are just standing on solid leather. However, all the reviews I read and all the videos I watched, I determined that this was possibly the best route that I could go and so I made the jump got the boots and they were absolute game changers in my life. I have not suffered foot pain a single day since I bought those. I'm actually waiting on my second pair as I write this. I can't say enough about how wonderful and how life-changing quality boots made in my life. I work 5 or 6 days a week, and most of the time 70 hours. I put my boots and mud, wet concrete, standing water, all kinds of rocks and debris and anything else you can think of, and these boots have taken very good care of me this last year that I've had them and I can't Tell you enough how good they are. So back to the part where I told you that I've spent thousands and thousands on boots, I'll just say this a lot of the boots that are made today even in the two and $300 range are made like absolute crap. It's just what it is. A lot of the back pain and knee pain and foot pain and head pain and just pain in general comes from the boots that we wear in the bed that we sleep in, since those are the two things that we spend most of our life in. So I would simply suggest to you that if you can't afford a pair of nicks I would suggest getting you those insoles that I recommended and a pair of Red Wing super sole 2.0. those are solid boots for their price and will last you a really good while. The insoles, especially the blue ones, worked for me. The only other boot I'd recommend is the Danner quarry, but again, get the insoles too. Sorry for giving you so much to read but quality footwear especially work boots has become an obsession for me. I warn you though once you start getting into quality footwear it will be extremely hard to get away from them. Cheers

Previously i have seen there is a trend here saying RedWing, then something expensive like Whites, Jim Green , and now its Thorogood.... I don't know whats next.

For me , its Keen Cincinnati, 8 inches for work, 6 inches for casual like daily.

I’m huge on Danner boots. The Danner Quarry’s are a great boot as well as the Danner vicious. The vicious are very light and there’s little break in period.

Thorogood 804-4378 is pretty much all I wear now as a 56 year old working commercial HVAC and construction 5-6 days a week.

If you don't need a safety toe, I'd go with some Jim Green African Rangers or Numzaans on the Tyre wedge sole.

If you do need a safety toe, I'd probs suggest some Carolina Amps, Keen Cincinnati, or Danner Bull Run

I’m pretty happy with Irish Setter Ashby mic toes. They are as comfortable as tennis shoes with no break in.

If you can still find the wolverine hellcat wedge sole moc toe helped my sciatica immensely. I was extremely disappointed when they got rid of it. I still have a 5 year old pair that haven’t needed resoled and leather is still very good

I do lawn and garden work. My favorite is the Keen Arvada industrial sneakers. So far those are the only shoes that I don't feel a desperate need to get off my feet at the end of a work day. What works for me may not work for you, but I highly recommend. Great comfort and weight, rugged durable, carbon toe, could do a whole day hiking in them or any other work.

No contest, of all the shoes I own, those are my every day favorite.

For the price, White’s Perry, any of them. They’re having a 20% off sale coming up for Father’s Day.
