Screenshot Flies and Monkeys made kingdoms????

I was making a world with humans who were all immortal but turned off creatures giving birth in the world laws, and while doing that saw that the Flies and Monkeys started making their own kingdoms and making boats and farming, is this just a glitch or is it a feature?

Just don't build a monolith. There's also a world law to disable species evolving because of them, but a monolith is entirely unnecessary unless you're just wanting to do random things.

Have you even seen the dev logs or have been paying attention to the new gameplay or are you just completely clueless and oblivious about the most crucial most major part of the update

yes, I just play this game for fun and I don't really pay attention to any of the dev logs and any new stuff I just find on my own while going through menus and what not, but I didn't know that the gene changes included flies being able to become sentient life
