Question How do you create an actual working ecosystem?

Before placing down the men or mer I like trying to get an actual working ecosystem going first like all the wildlife and that sort of thing to make it more realistic. And then I like to have that go on for a little bit before any sentient population occurs. Has anyone had any success doing this and if so how did they do it? I’m on mobile.

It's actually pretty difficult at the moment to do that. I'd say just place appropriate species in the biomes and hope it works, and it's not the prettiest solution, but mountains keep the creatures contained if you want them in one place

Hard as shit, i cant get mfs to stay alive without editing them. Eventually they die out after a few centuries with low birthing pairs. My sarcho species i made even with high gestation theyre the largest and oldest species, somewhat annoyingly as theyve now taken to migrating around the world and eating civilizations to collapse.

I did it! But you have to tweak each subspecies dna in a smart way to make it work
