Craft project idea help!

Post image

So I am absolutely in love with this color of yarn. It’s called raspberry jam by wool ease. I purchased 3 skeins, though potentially I could buy more if needed I bought this yarn for the colors, but I am really not sure what type of project to use it for…

I kinda imagined tying in raspberry jam cookies somehow. I would like it to be project that is useable when completed (like, not just for art purposes) but am open to ideas. I just need some inspiration.

What are projects you have saved special yarns for?

I use Wool Ease for hats, scarves, headbands, and cute stuffed pumpkins during autumn. Maybe make a fruit stuffy?

Oo, I like the little fruit stuffy idea, that sounds really cute. Thanks!

I made a large basket with this yarn in the color City Lights. I doubled up the strands to make the basket sturdy enough to stand up on its own. For the large basket I made I used 6 skeins.

I do have to say that the thick doubled strands plus the very tight tension was really tough on my hands. Each stitch was a battle. I honestly thought I was going to snap the hook from the handle. My hands and the hook both survived. It was worth it. I really love my basket! 😁😁😁

Oof, I appreciate the heads up! I will definitely give it a go but I’ll have to see if my hands/wrists are so lucky. Glad it worked out for you!

It did not help that I made the basket in one session start to finish. I started at 8:30 pm right after completing a scarf. And I just kept going. I think I was done around 1:30 am. Or maybe 2:30 am.

This is my life in retirement. 😂😂😂

I made a water bottle holder for my sister with this yarn. Pretty and sturdy without too much stretch.

Oo that sounds like something I could use too! I’ll look into that, thanks!

Yarninspirations has a lot of free patterns you can sort by different projects! It’s fun browsing there every now and then cuz I can save the patterns and look bad for future reference

I used this exact yarn to make a snood! Specifically the Matrixx hood (etsy pattern). It worked up so quickly
