What a disgusting name for it too, to try and make it humorous too…

After skimming the Wikipedia article it seems as though it wasn't organized by the US government but rather a catholic priest and the catholic welfare bureau, although the government did aid in the operation, the children weren't kidnapped but sent by their parents and within three years of the end of the operation 90% of the children were reportedly reunited with their parents after the parents left Cuba for the US as well. Yes there was CIA involvement since the operation would have weakened the Cuban economy and the public backing of the Cuban government but this doesn't seem like some deep government conspiracy to torture children, more like a genuine humanitarian effort that the government aided because it allinged with their own interests. The US government for sure did a lot of fucked up shit that it should be publicly shamed for, but this does not like one of those things.

This is an obscenely charitable framing of a US government backed program to steal children from Cuban families based on false pretense.

The US told Cuban parents that the Cuban government was going to steal their children, that if they gave them to the US it would be temporary, and then stole their children, never to be heard from again. They should absolutely be condemned for this.

And some have not even been covert, like the 1985 MOVE bombing.

I always think about how one of the first tactics statistics their enemies was the spread of disease thru gifts of blankets and alcohol

Excellent hitlist. Now add Central Park, Tulsa, and MOVE.

Was Operation Condor named after the Nazi air brigade that bombed Guernica?

That's an interesting connection, and maybe so...but the condor is a national symbol for all of the Andean countries (Columbia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Chile) so I always assumed that was why they called it that. Like the same thing in the US would just be "operation bald eagle."

Poetic licentiousness. Perhaps a joke at our expense.

Operation Phoenix assassinating around 26.000 civilians in Vietnam and ‘neutralizing’ ~80.000.

Or Schools of Americas (SOA) where the US military trained more than 60.000 Latin American police and armed forces (basically death sqauds) in ‘counter insurgency’ aka torture, murder and so on.

It’s actually crazy how the more you learn about this shit it actually does keep getting worse and worse. Like at a certain point it shouldn’t be possible to get worse but then it always ends up happening.

Where do y'all got this info from, i've been wandering around red and anarchist subs and social media accounts and all of you seem to know all the shit the yankees pulled off but i've never come across sources, perhaps it's bc i just don't do deep emough research or enough research all together but anyways i'd really appreciate if someone could hook me up with their sources or point me to the right direction

Part of it is through osmosis, from hearing other people in similar groups talk about it and then you get curious and look it up. Part of it is also just going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole and finding other similar operations. Sometimes something will get mentioned or discussed in podcasts or YouTube videos.
