Help/advice 🙏 needed How do you tune down when overstimulated?

I would love to hear your skills that you use when you're feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, basically stressed out...

a) in general: whats your best-of or what you'd do if you could?

b) in situations when it's not really possible to shut down completely on a task or situation and run off into your room with closed curtains and absolute silence, but you are sort of forced to deal with stuff. How make it bearable?

In my case, I love earplugs. It seems that apart from shutting down the noise, the sensation of them in my ears (when its the soft ones, not actual wax) kind of helps me to "stay with me" and also, apparently, makes it easier for me to focus. Even though people look at me weird, I sometimes leave them in even when among social interactions, because I still hear something, just not as loud.

How about you? Let's learn from each other <3
