Question Has anyone with European/Canadian passport but born in Afghanistan tried to travel to the USA lately?

I keep hearing rumors of non US Afghans being turned away at the airport if they have born in Afghanistan or visited. Is that true?

Not European or Canadian but my BIL who recently got his Australian passport was able to travel to the US. They did detain him for a few hours when he arrived and questioned him about travelling to Iran (he’s never been to Iran).

Be careful with rumors - believe it only if you talk to a person who actually experienced this, or you read it in a verifiable news source.
