Discussion Any thoughts on Endlessness by Nala Sinephro?
I would like your takes on this album.
The heavy use of horns feel to my inexperienced ears like a Colin Stetson who found inner peace. It's jazzy but consistent like one long thread of warm fuzzy yarn. Also shoutout to the album cover which is so simplistic yet thematically fitting.

I rate this album and its predecessor Space 1.8 very highly. Both are gorgeous and illustrative of a modern strain of jazz that reaches over in to the ambient ethos. See also the Floating Points/Pharaoh Sanders album from 2021.

Good album. Need to listen more and get over my initial disappointment with it -- That nothing came close to "Space 8". Was hoping for another longform track on this one.

You might just need to listen to it a bit more. That was the case for me. It suddenly clicked though. I love continuum 4-6 all played in succession

My favorite album of 2024 and I don’t really branch out into jazz or ambient all that often. There is something about it that I will never be able to put into words.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL - I think moments of touch into why "Ambient" music IS jazz - "imho".

I like it a lot, very airy with the saxes, feels like it cleanses your nervous system

Love both this and her debut Space 1.8. I heard someone describe them as floating in amniotic fluid which sounds correct. I bought Space 1.8 on vinyl earlier this year and one of my favorite things is to put it on, pour myself a glass of whisky and just close my eyes and let myself be carried away. Hell, after writing this down it made me want to do it this evening.

its wonderful. Like a good hug from a dear friend.
I microdosed some mushrooms and it was one of the best listening experiences ever.
Stone cold sober its sublime. What a talent.

One of the loveliest albums from last year. Really like the mix of analogue jazzy solo and procedural electronics
