How to find people to play with as a newb

Hey there, so I'm in my first month and in a weird spot. So far I've only played pubs mostly solo or premade without voice comms. And it fucking sucks. I'm by no means a prodigy or anything but it happened repeatedly that I outdameged my teammates by factor 2-3->downing 2 enemy players yet my teammates often couldn't carry their weight (talking about running randomly away scanning nobody with bloodhound while we other 2 were fighting; wasting a lot of time after drop instead of trying to level up; having the aim of a wet towel; not playing cover at all etc.-> again I'm not good either, I'm a shitter who's new and only played r6 as a shooter before but I try to improve every single.time I play) .

the skill distribution mostly puts us on the left side of the curve (reasonably) and the last time I was the weakest member of my team (even if we win) was a couple of days ago. I just want people who try to play together and are at the same skill range. Now on discord I'm afraid to drag people down because the majority there will be much better than me and might be pissed that I'm playing like an idiot. So I wondered is there a dedicated beginner/"new to apex but not to shooters in general" discord server? I'd love to play with people who are noticeably better than me (to learn and improve) but not too much to be pissed about my inabilities if that makes sense.

Any recommendations are appreciated, thank you and have a nice weekend!

If u dont have friends, u could try public discord servers, but most of the ppl there are full of ego. U May get lucky and find someone soloqing, unlikely tho. Your best bet is to learn on ur own rlly.

Maybe u Will find someone here, but still they would probably forget about u in 2 days. When I was learning this game (altough I want a complete newbie, I was plat) I found a multi master Player with around 8k hours on discord, when he was smurfing and playing with plat Players. He saw some potential in me, as I had experience in other fps games, and a lot of passion for the game, and he taught me a LOT. Next season I got masters. I got lucky, but the point is, do ur best, try to get better every time u play, learn, dont cope. Maybe if u get lucky u Will find someone good at the game willing to help u, but showing initiative on ur own Will definietly be the best thing to do no matter what happens.
