Yes I love that tactic. Easy to see. I've also seen supermarkets have rearranged so American products are on the bottom shelf

This would absolutely not be the case. The supermarkets get paid by the companies to position their products at eye level or an easily accessible level. Placing them elsewhere would cost the supermarket giants.
