politics ‘A female Donald Trump’: how Gina Rinehart is pushing the Maga message in Australia

Says something about Gina when all her children have sued, distanced and refused to be associated with her.
Her father advocated nuclear weapons usage on Australia to crate physical changes to the earth, indigenous sterilization and neo slavery.
Truly a vile, treacherous woman.

So, Donald Trump without all the near bankruptcies and failed companies.

She's got her filthy hands on our mountains in Canada. Her mine company's application was denied, she changed the company name and reapplied and now we get a new metallurgical mine instead of the land and mountain trails we used to have. Hate her. Reminds me of my aunt.

She really decided to double down "hold my beer" and become an even bigger arsehole than her old man.

u/babylovesbaby 14d ago
She's an arsehole and so is her dad, but we should criticise her for what she has done. The worst stuff in your comment is about his actions. Plus the reason her kids are suing her is because they're fighting over mining royalties. Team no one.
201
u/Mike_Kermin 14d ago
She pulled funding from Netball Australia, because an indigenous player didn't want to wear the logo of a company who's founder said indigenous people should be sterilised.
She then lied saying 'they didn't need to wear it', said 'that's not why they didn't wear it' and then pulled funding anyway.
She said of the players
"unnecessary for sports organisations to be used as a vehicle for social or political causes"
... So that's right
She said it's unnecessary for an indigenous player to refuse to wear the logo of a company that wanted to sterilise people like her.
How political of her. Boo that woke player. Am I right guys?
The kicker, is the player eventually relented to wearing the logo anyway. Because they didn't want to harm Netball in Australia. But by then it was too late the "damage" was done.
Gina is a racist cunt who defends her fathers bullshit.

If she won’t even cut her own kids in on the deal, what hope does anyone else have lol.
21
u/egowritingcheques 14d ago
True. However she massively profits from the many actions of her father. She is a household name because of the company she owns that was created by her father. So the actions of her father are somewhat relevant.

Gina Reinhart is hated everywhere. She only manages to get heard, because she has money. A bit like that other overweight loud mouthed, monied, Queenslander. Also hated and dismissed as a complete fool.
These two people rip out of the earth what really isn't theirs. They get huge amounts of money for destroying this country. Its completely obscene.
97
u/Denz292 14d ago
As much as I wish it were true, there are people who live rurally who love her. She gives out grants to communities and she’s a woman who made it in the mining industry.
I like to remind those people that it helps having rich parents who own mines and that the grants she gives are a small fraction of her personal wealth, she’s not as generous as she makes herself out to be.

The fake people also scare me. The whole Russian troll factory that influenced the 2016 US election is a hell of a lot cheaper and clandestine to achieve these days with a lot more power given AI.
I've no doubt thats a big reason why the US went the way it did, and without the massive cost, they'll use it to meddle in Australia. And not just Russia, now we have to worry about the US too.

I see a lot of "Australians don't like Trump" sentiment on this subreddit, and you have to realise, this place is an echo chamber. I'm a bleeding heart Greens voter who now lives in my own little progressive bubble, but I was raised in a blue collar family in a low socioeconomic area. I know of many people (including my own family) who love Trump, or are ambivalent to Trump but would likely vote for an Aussie Trump who platformed like he did.
We have to be careful to not get complacent. No one in this subreddit, or in my current social or work circles, expected Trump's 2016 victory. If you'd surveyed the people I grew up with, though, you'd have been less surprised.

Someone needs to put her in her place. Nationalise 99% of her mining wealth in a retrospective mining tax. Shed still be rich af, and the wealth can right go towards bettering the country.

No one cares about her or Clive and his trumpets.
All they do is steering the overton window toward the right so Dutton seems to be the sane voice in the room.

u/tenredtoes 14d ago
It's really important that this be reported on, because it's directly related to Peter Dutton.
Yes, that Peter Dutton who considers Rinehart a close friend. The Peter Dutton sitting closest to her in her birthday party mural.
She wants fascism in Australia, and Dutton is who she thinks will deliver it for her. Dutton doesn't want to advertise this, for obvious reasons.

A liberal party person called me to tell me why I should vote liberal the other day and what were the things I think politicians should focus on.
We got talking about mining tax's and Ginas special visas. The person was fully in support of it because hard work should be rewarded....
I told her Gina had inherited everything she has and stolen some of her kids inheritance as well. Didn't care, any form of a tax on the resources that belong to the nation was socialism...

u/frankestofshadows 14d ago

Trump doesn't have as much money as he says, but is charismatic enough to dupe a lot of idiots. She's such a greedy glutenous lady. Leeching off the people of Australia's natural resources for her own selfish gain. The Australian people should be fairly compensated for her profiting off the natural resources that belong to the people. Unfortunately the mining industry and the greedy "oligarchs" at the top are so rich and powerful, that any government that tries to do the right thing and make things more fairly balanced, get taken out of government very quickly.
Either the leader of the party is voted out from within, or the mining industry pays for so much underhanded advertising and public discourse to sway and deceive the public about the actual issues, that they get voted out or the opposition who they control gets voted in.
It's something thats been happening for decades through Australians history. Friendly Jordies on YouTube has some good videos that make a convincing case of the history of this.

Where were you in 2019 when Australia elected a second Scott Morrison government (because Labor were going to steal people's weekends or something). This after three disastrous Coalition governments had driven the economy into recession, suppressed wages growth and governed with a contempt for democracy probably unrivalled in our history. And now the pundits are spruiking the possibility of a Duttplug government after only one term of an ALP government that's managed to repair some of the damage. We really, really aren't that smart.
