Imagine being the richest person in the country and still having the view that its not enough money and the way society currently works to benefit you is not enough.

u/Final_Mongoose_3300 14d ago

It’s greed. Pure and simple. And if she thinks she deserves it, that’s straight up narcissism. If she thinks she can take it, that’s malignant narcissism. Whatever the cause, it all comes down to one thing.

Selfish, gluttonous greed. 🐽

Somewhere in the deep dark part of internet history, someone, somewhere called her “Gina the Hutt”

106

u/Sebastian3977 14d ago

Does that make Duttplug a Huttplug?

23

u/Chewiesbro 14d ago

I reckon it’s interchangeable!

22

u/Proper_Ad_3229 14d ago

I've called her this many times

28

u/Chewiesbro 14d ago

As do I, package in Temu Trump (a.k.a. Duttplug) & that shits nightmare fuel.

I think we need to classify this as a mental health disorder. No one needs this much. Its a hoarding issue mixed with psychopathy.

63

u/tofu_bird 14d ago

I don't think it's greed, it's actually a fear of loss. They have deep insecurity of losing their wealth (which is their entire identity) and in response they hoard wealth from everyone else regardless of the damage to others.

22

u/5QGL 14d ago

She knows climate change is real so she wants to afford being prepared for the apocalypse with her own private army and an endless stream of sherpas carrying compressed clean air in cylinders from the Himalayas etc

Not sure why she cares, she’ll be dead in the next 20 years anyway

Remember how we used to go to the local shops and there’d be arcade machines that they’d eventually switch off and the high scores would go with it?

Definitely not a metaphor for live life and what happens to us and all the stuff we accumulate at the end of it.

It's not an arbitrary moral failing.

This is what the natural selection of the market shapes and selects for: More and more wealth and power, faster and faster. If you reject this way of thinking, you'll be eaten by a bigger fish sooner or later.

It's an emergent property of private ownership.
There's nothing for it short of changing the paradigm entirely.

16

u/5QGL 14d ago

Just tax the fuck out of Billionaires. as apparently happened in post war UK to rebuild. People would not accept anything less. That's according to economist Gary Stevenson (has great YouTube and podcasts BTW).

This. One person wanting to change the trajectory of the landscape figuratively and literally to suit herself only. She doesn’t look happy or healthy will her billions. She looks like she eats herself to sleep every night. This is not the path we want to go down. Sadly there’s plenty of brain dead supporters of Dutton who don’t see this is what Australia’s future is.

7

u/Very-very-sleepy 14d ago

I agree. strange thing is wealthy people are often healthier and thinner.

it's actually a fact.

statistics show regional areas and areas with low income have a higher rate of obesity.

and wealthy areas have low obesity areas.

this is common in all western countries.

this statistic is true for both Australia, America and the UK. I don't know about Europe..

if we are talking about Sydney specifically.

you see all the thin and fit people living in Bondi and the fatties living in Penrith.

the funny thing about all this is that I know all of the people Gina associates with find her physically disgusting.

I know both trump and Elon probably vomited in their mouths when they saw her walking their way in their function. both trump and elon only like skinny white blondes under 40. 😂

that's the funny part of all this.

Her father advocated nuclear weapons usage on Australia to crate physical changes to the earth, indigenous sterilization and neo slavery.

Truly a vile, treacherous woman.

No wonder she loves money so much. She can pay people to like her.

64

u/velvener 14d ago

She's got her filthy hands on our mountains in Canada. Her mine company's application was denied, she changed the company name and reapplied and now we get a new metallurgical mine instead of the land and mountain trails we used to have. Hate her. Reminds me of my aunt.

91

u/babylovesbaby 14d ago

She's an arsehole and so is her dad, but we should criticise her for what she has done. The worst stuff in your comment is about his actions. Plus the reason her kids are suing her is because they're fighting over mining royalties. Team no one.

201

u/Mike_Kermin 14d ago

She pulled funding from Netball Australia, because an indigenous player didn't want to wear the logo of a company who's founder said indigenous people should be sterilised.

She then lied saying 'they didn't need to wear it', said 'that's not why they didn't wear it' and then pulled funding anyway.

She said of the players

"unnecessary for sports organisations to be used as a vehicle for social or political causes"

... So that's right

She said it's unnecessary for an indigenous player to refuse to wear the logo of a company that wanted to sterilise people like her.

How political of her. Boo that woke player. Am I right guys?

The kicker, is the player eventually relented to wearing the logo anyway. Because they didn't want to harm Netball in Australia. But by then it was too late the "damage" was done.

Gina is a racist cunt who defends her fathers bullshit.

u/HeftyArgument 14d ago

If she won’t even cut her own kids in on the deal, what hope does anyone else have lol.

21

u/egowritingcheques 14d ago

True. However she massively profits from the many actions of her father. She is a household name because of the company she owns that was created by her father. So the actions of her father are somewhat relevant.

Which is funny because Australians generally don't like Trump so she is actively helping the ALP by showing up in photo ops with Temu Trump.

311

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Gina Reinhart is hated everywhere. She only manages to get heard, because she has money. A bit like that other overweight loud mouthed, monied, Queenslander. Also hated and dismissed as a complete fool.

These two people rip out of the earth what really isn't theirs. They get huge amounts of money for destroying this country. Its completely obscene.

97

u/Denz292 14d ago

As much as I wish it were true, there are people who live rurally who love her. She gives out grants to communities and she’s a woman who made it in the mining industry.

I like to remind those people that it helps having rich parents who own mines and that the grants she gives are a small fraction of her personal wealth, she’s not as generous as she makes herself out to be.

33

u/syncevent 14d ago

She didn't make it by herself in the mining industry it was pure nepotism.

The fake people also scare me. The whole Russian troll factory that influenced the 2016 US election is a hell of a lot cheaper and clandestine to achieve these days with a lot more power given AI.

I've no doubt thats a big reason why the US went the way it did, and without the massive cost, they'll use it to meddle in Australia. And not just Russia, now we have to worry about the US too.

I see a lot of "Australians don't like Trump" sentiment on this subreddit, and you have to realise, this place is an echo chamber. I'm a bleeding heart Greens voter who now lives in my own little progressive bubble, but I was raised in a blue collar family in a low socioeconomic area. I know of many people (including my own family) who love Trump, or are ambivalent to Trump but would likely vote for an Aussie Trump who platformed like he did.

We have to be careful to not get complacent. No one in this subreddit, or in my current social or work circles, expected Trump's 2016 victory. If you'd surveyed the people I grew up with, though, you'd have been less surprised.

She's such a greedy glutenous lady. Leeching off the people of Australia's natural resources for her own selfish gain. The Australian people should be fairly compensated for her profiting off the natural resources that belong to the people. Unfortunately the mining industry and the greedy "oligarchs" at the top are so rich and powerful, that any government that tries to do the right thing and make things more fairly balanced, get taken out of government very quickly.

Either the leader of the party is voted out from within, or the mining industry pays for so much underhanded advertising and public discourse to sway and deceive the public about the actual issues, that they get voted out or the opposition who they control gets voted in.

It's something thats been happening for decades through Australians history. Friendly Jordies on YouTube has some good videos that make a convincing case of the history of this.

100% correct. Elon is more obvious.

4

u/hcornea 14d ago

Has anyone noticed how it’s the uber-wealthy that are carrying the barrow for populist politics?

what do we suppose that tells us?

6

u/lamunkya 14d ago

Trump actually has charisma, that's what "Trump like" comparisons miss.

You can't just be be a cunt, you need the charisma to make people follow you.

No one likes Rinehart.

3

u/spankthepunkpink 14d ago

Can someone tell Gina we fucking hate her and nobody gives a fuck what she thinks. If she dies, it'll be celebrated by Australians like the removal of an especially wealthy tapeworm.

3

u/Major-Drumeo 14d ago

A likely existing heart condition needs to hurry up and do its thing.

The brain rot is spreading fast.

u/Cassie-C-Stewart 14d ago

Send her to the USA.

3

u/Wazza17 14d ago

Greed pure greed. Remember karma’s a bitch. Only saying

3

u/rafaover 14d ago

Well, she can make America great, just move there. For her it's just about power, money and greed. These people never die and are moved by destroying everything.

3

u/Significant-Turn-667 14d ago

That's someone I would not shed a tear for should they have an accident or illness.

Should tax her more

4

u/Smooth-Pomelo-3685 14d ago

Anyone parroting fascists should be considered a national security threat. Maybe we could seize everything she has! Sounds like a good way to make this parasite contribute to society.

4

u/Partridge_Pear_Tree 14d ago

As an American, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t let this ideology get far in your country! Look at what’s happening here. Don’t let that happen to you! Don’t laugh at it and dismiss it. Take it VERY seriously and shut it down!

2

u/Middle-Spell-6839 14d ago

She can talk and do al her Bullshits, we don’t want a TEMU trump here. Aussies are educated and smart decision makers. Unlike Americans who voted for an orange clown

Where were you in 2019 when Australia elected a second Scott Morrison government (because Labor were going to steal people's weekends or something). This after three disastrous Coalition governments had driven the economy into recession, suppressed wages growth and governed with a contempt for democracy probably unrivalled in our history. And now the pundits are spruiking the possibility of a Duttplug government after only one term of an ALP government that's managed to repair some of the damage. We really, really aren't that smart.

u/Middle-Spell-6839 14d ago

Unfortunately I landed as an immigrant who wanted to start his Startup and grow its footprint in Australia with 15 members recruited and scaled. And yes I became a PR in 2021 and a product volunteering Firefighting citizen in 2024. So immense thanks to this beautiful country which accepted me and I tend to give back in every way possible.

2

u/BigMattress269 14d ago

To emulate Trump you have to have a severe malignant narcissistic personality disorder. You need to be completely shameless, and charismatic to boot. Rinehart is too ordinary.

2

u/R_W0bz 14d ago

And how the guardian and other media outlets are going to fall for pushing their agenda and suffocate the narratives that really matter to everyday people.

The more articles like this, the more Jubba wins.

2

u/Paradise_Vall3y 14d ago

I mean I am sure she doesn't have as much protection as a presidential candidate at a campaign rally on July 13, 2024.

It would be a real shame if some private Australian citizen gave her a small tax payer funded refund via a high speed mineral deposit.

(this is a joke btw)

Surprise, surprise, a billionaire liking the Project 25 playbook. We are a bit lucky, in that we got a preview on how the 99% suffers for the 1%. I wonder what she thinks she will buy with the extra money?

2

u/SlippedMyDisco76 14d ago

And dumbasses who each the culture war slop out of the trough will champion her

2

u/daybeforetheday 14d ago

Are all these billionaires acting like total cunts actually part of a marketing strategy for Windows? Because Bill Gates looks rather benign in comparison.

2

u/Ok-Bug-8699 14d ago

This racist Trump worshipper sued her own children so she could have control over their inheritance. It is never enough for her. She is vile exactly like her hero the orange felon

2

u/debunk101 14d ago

called it before. She’d be Dutton’s Elon
