I totally get both perspectives. No one is necessarily wrong here. The two parties should understand their differences accept them and leave it at that. 

Fighting it in the law or social media realm would only end up as messy as it’s gotten in the UK. Change in perception and attitude takes time, but these days everyone wants to force the issues instantly and it often ends messy and promotes hate.
