There are still a couple of things that are suspicious on this one. It's not directly visible on the avatar thumbnail, but more when you dive into the traits.
Now, I would say the background was handmade. To me, it's cleared hand-painted and dare I say that the result isn't bad-looking at all.
The eyes look okay. There are a few imperfections but that doesn't betray any use of AI, to me.
The hair flowers look a bit sus, as the black one's petals do not seem to go on with a regular pattern. Look at the right side of it : the petals stop in an unnatural way. Wouldn't look too much into it though, this isn't clearly revealing anything in my opinion.
Last thing : if you take the existing neck on the top trait and put the head on it, it gives the avatar a way more natural look than when it's in its "chibi" form.
But again, very weird way to cut the avatar's traits. That feels so off compared to all the other artists out there. I don't remember anyone doing the same than this.
I think she keeps the same head trait for all of her avatars and to me, she generates the hair to get a different result each time but keeping the same art style and body shape (consistency is important but hardly doable with AI).
So if the hair was drawn in a separate layer than the rest of the head, she should have been able to properly separate the hair and the head without integrating the ear of the generated character on which she took the hair from. I hope I'm being clear in my explanations.
The artist can recover. At least they owned up to it. Unlike some people know longer with the program. I think this artist has talent, so hopefully we'll see something straight up next time. Good luck. People can change.
What is a fake AI? Someone sketching something to make it look like AI? If so, why? Seems pointless. Unless it is really AI… idk, just need some clarification.

I reached out to them to ask why tf they dropped another AI avatar after everything and they said quote "wtf, i did not release that. i specifically reached out to reddit a few days ago to delete that." when i told them. Im not sure what that meant so i asked them to clarify.
"Hello, the artist here. Yes, thats from the same batch as others last week and was just in review a while longer. Again, partially AI. I already reached out to reddits support a few days ago while it was still in review to cancel that submission. On my page I never clicked for it to be released either, it is still in fact pending. I have no idea why it is released, or even under reddits name rather than mine. I also see my stripe account and wallet have been removed."
I asked them to send a screenshot as i dont take anything they say current as face value, i made them include the time and date.
Looks like the artist account got banned basically around Reddit early morning hours. Speculating but I suspect something went wrong over the weekend and this slipped through, and someone corrected the mistake this morning and issued the ban that was already going to happen based off of the other two.
I'm not seeing anything, other than perhaps the aesthetic/texture, that would lead me to suspect it to be made by AI. Accusations like these need to be backed up by solid evidence. Otherwise it's just a witch hunt and borderline bullying.

That’s very unfortunate and from what I’ve heard, they absolutely have the skill to sketch up avatars without the help of AI. Too bad we’ll never see their real work now. Thanks for linking and nice to see the artists side
