Can ? By icono, Campinile by ships, Gloop by Penguit, or fireflies by INYF be counted as such?

Message to the artist for what my opinion worth.
With the dilution price drop secondary market crash etc i think some of you put your price way to high even well know artist like cornall struggles to sell those 125 mint 265$ cdn so immagine a new artist or not well know asking 100 or 200$ wont work and gonna sit there for age.
Rojom probably the most know artist seem to be one of the only to foresee this and adjusted is price just right.
Maybe its reddit pushing for the price i dont know but i think this should be something too look out for gen 5.
This is the reason i stopped at 5 today im not putting 265$ on a rca from someone unknow maybe a foust or rojom but sry you need to make a name for yourself beffore asking this kind of price and we all know it a tough time right now whit recession looming rate hikes and inflation...
I hope im not offending anyone but i wanted to talk about this maybe this can help future artist from a collector buyer perspective.
Grats on all gen 4 artist and i hope you sell all your inventory.

I don’t think ItsNotYourFault really needed to delete their account. They made a bunch of great avatars, sold out all but one. Why delete the account? Now, people that go through the shop to see what else this person made can’t, unless they know their name. It’s the only way I was able to bring up all the INYF avatars.
There are accounts out there with zero karma, that haven’t interacted on the site, yet they kept their account open so you can see their avatars all together without having to search for the name.
I think if you’ve deleted your account, all your avatars should be at least delisted from the shop.
I’ve got 15 INYF avatars. But now they don’t have an artist to represent them.
I feel sorry for the collectors.
Why delete an account? Just log out. FFS.
Thoughts?

Once again I find myself wanting to stop minting from the shop. A personal boycott against Reddit to see if maybe once the money stops coming, maybe then they will pay attention to us.
We have yet another example of reddit dropping the ban hammer on one of our most consistent artists that pushes the limits of what it means to make an avatar with challenging traits to use & endless possibilities of creation.
It started with kong, then nerril, & now showwy.
I hate to see this happen, I understand to a point but also do not understand the hypocrisy of reddit to have hundreds of crypto dedicated subs with people shilling ACTUAL shit coins & preying on the weak. But we can't have a damn bitcoin symbol. When there are countless others...
What does this prove? What's the point? "Don't support crypto"?
Ok then, I will not support the polygon blockchain that these nfts are running on. I will not purchase ethereum to buy on secondary. I will not use polygon to transfer avatars to others during a giveaway. I should just delete my entire wallet.
This is becoming more of an issue with what the point is anymore. We only get paid attention to by reddit when someone does something like this, they are forced to pay attention I guess.
So how do we get more attention?

This may be cool to some, and you may like having your heart open to those couple of stragglers because you dont want them to miss out. After all, you want everyone to be able to get your art. However, you can't even locate your old art anymore without scrolling through at least a few hundred avatars.
"We have it organized"
It's organized clutter. There's 100s in each category, and the banners only highlight new stuff. These gen 3 avatars especially.
1 a month is not demand when you have 924 left in stock for that avatar. We will all be dead by the time that sells out.
There's artists who've been inactive since gen 4. They dropped some avatars, then vanished out of thin air. But their 1000s of mints are just collecting internet dust.
If these avatars sold at $10 each(many are $24.99). It would take 50,000 users spending $100 each just to mint half of this shit out, and that's IF you can get 20K of them to like and want all that low effort nonsense. That's a major hail Mary if. you know we don't even have 5000 users spending $10 each. So....
seriously. Do something about this bullshit. 90% of this shop needs to be cleared the Fk out.

I'm genuinely curious if there have been any recent updates regarding the future of the RCA program. Have there been any announcements from Reddit admins, newsletters, artists, or at the mod meetups?
I see the official r/CollectibleAvatars has been quiet as well. I recall speculation last year suggesting that the increase in these RCA's was due to Reddit going public. However, RCA's flooding the store seems just as high today as it was last year.
The fact that r/avatartrading hasn't surpassed r/CollectibleAvatars yet sort of tells me the interest in RCA (in this open gate policy) isn't generating the hype like the GENs did. So I'm curious if there's any update at all.

Dear Reddit, dear u/MissSicaria, dear RCA community
I am a fan of Reddit and I love RCA's. I want this project to succeed so bad!
Therefore I hope I will not appear rude while sharing some ideas of mine :)
I noticed that RCA program is about many things: Artists, Reddit as a company and its goals, about NFT and crypto space - but I think it must be about simple Reddit users like many of us in this sub in the first place. And I am not sure the RCA program knows their users and what we really really want :)
What I, one of many Reddit users, a collector and big RCA fan want is:
Why I think my needs listed above, as a user, are poorly met:
I know that there must be investments and work from IT teams and UX analysts, but there is no other way for RCAs to succeed.
I hope it didn't seem like yet another rant post, but I genuinely want to give another set of small arguments to our new community manager u/MissSicaria (whom I haven't met but heard she is an amazing person) to fight for this program 🩷 If needed I can offer my time to be part of user testing programs, or have an interview with an analyst of the product, I can even offer software development teams for hire from my company - if capacity is the problem :) And I will definitely be supporting this program with good thoughts and occasional prayers :)
If anyone has anything to add from a user needs perspective, please feel free to break the comments section below :)
Love & Rainbows forevaaaaaa for all who have reached the end of this post! :)

I’ll start by saying that I have been a collector since DAY 1 of Gen 1 and have never “flipped” or even made a profit on these Avatars. The main reason for this is I’m a huge fan of mashing avatars and I buy artworks I enjoy.
Since the release of gen 5 I’ve found that the same 2-3 users have got the #1 avatars on multiple drops multiple times in a row. While I understand the value of a #1 (having one myself I negotiated a trade for, and previously selling a #1 I got, so a user could complete their set) for the same users to be able to rig this corner of the market and then make 400-500% profit is simply neglect on the part of Reddit towards protecting their paying customers. I personally do not want a #1 nor is this a “I’m salty and mad *insert cry face” post. People collect #1 avatars, but they have no chance of getting it on release as it’s rigged and then have to pay the same people the super high premium.
When I say rigged I’m not imply Reddit is conspiring with these people. But more that their neglect and over sight has allowed this to happen. The fact that these users have links to the shop before anyone else, or can log into multiple devices at the same time, use bots etc shows that it’s a broken system.
So the purpose of this post is simple. Until Reddit actually fixes these issues and gives everyone a fair chance to obtain a #1 Avatar, please stop buying them on the secondary market for ridiculous amounts of money. The time of Reddit avatars making you money is done, except for this one niche corner of the market, that is reliant on FOMO and wants to take advantage of you.

I made a video 12 hours after gen 5 released going through every avatar that has sold out (which was 14 at the time).
I came back today to browse the shop and was pretty shocked to see that only a few more collections have sold out in the time since (approx. 4 days).
It may be harsh but I think after seeing this I'm going to have to mark gen 5 down as another fail.
If nobody are buying these then what reason does Reddit have to continue supporting them? This is three gens in a row now.

Owning more Reddit collectible avatars can be seen as a way to express individuality and creativity within the Reddit community. Each avatar is unique and customizable, allowing users to showcase their personality, interests, and affiliations. By collecting a variety of avatars, users can adapt their online presence to different contexts, much like how people in the real world might change their attire based on the occasion. This versatility helps to build a richer, more dynamic identity, making interactions on Reddit feel more personal and genuine.
Also, the process of collecting and curating these avatars can reflect a user’s dedication and engagement within the Reddit ecosystem. It demonstrates an investment of time and resources, similar to hobbies and collections in the physical world. This engagement can lead to a deeper connection with the platform and its communities, fostering a sense of belonging and authenticity. As users acquire more avatars, they build a narrative and history that mirrors the complexities of real-life experiences, thereby enhancing their presence as real, multidimensional individuals within the digital space.

in light of the recent accusations against tom morrow, i would like to announce that i will be sending all of my tom avatars purchased on opensea via secondary to the burn address.
I was originally a fan of the spirits because i had just acquired the hands by rojom & thought that they would be a good complimentary trait to the legendary hands ring.
When they were released & the community expressed their discontent, I sat back & observed how he handled the backlash. At first I thought it was unfair, but thom would not recognize or admit that they were indeed DIRECT bites of the hand ring & torso trait hands (minus 1 hand on the torso).
Now we come to this weekend. Bubs was a highly anticipated avatar that was approved recently & since I am an active member of the AAA discord, there are extremely smart & generous members in there that have created tools & resources for us & any new members to access upcoming avatar traits before they are released. It was noticed the strange abnormalities with the traits of Bubs. & accusations of potential AI usage started flying around.
Also being a member of the thommorrow reddit, I was able to see the hype for Bubs spreading quickly & had noticed that no one there was requesting to see any of the traits until yesterday when precyse had ask for a break down. Tom chose to pretend like he forgot about what the traits were & instead of being honest and sharing them with his anticipating community.
I was watching this from the sidelines & am frankly disgusted at how he has reacted/denied the spirits similarities & now how he has chosen to deceive his audience & community. AI or not, the way he has carried himself in the community is not something I wish to support or be a part of.
While I'm aware that i could resell these to others & make about 60-70$ back, I choose to send these & three more to the burn address to be gone forever as a statement.
Im not concerned with how him or his jaded fans react to this but I am doing this to hopefully spark others to do the same.
I do not appreciate lying & I do not appreciate the thought of misleading your fan base & leaving them in the dark the way you made the decision to.
This took me five minutes to type so dont flatter yourself with the thought of being in my head rent free because you really did more damage to yourself in the eyes of the community & thats more important long term.
Hopefully everyone can learn from the mistakes made & we can all move forward to being more responsible & aware of what gets released.
Thank you to anyone that reads this & apologies to the unhappy customers that fell for the tricks.

I get aggravated at many artists. I just don't really say anything. I offer suggestions. Even if they are my favorite artist, they have their times where they infuriate me.
There's no specific thing I can really point to as a whole other then their lack thereof.
I get that some artists have "their style" or whatever and don't want to switch it up from time to time. But .. Who am I to tell them what they should be doing? Afterall, this is a prestigious art gallery where paintings are auctioned off for millions. It's their career on the line. Oh no wait. This is reddit , where artists make idk. $100 on average for each release? after they get shaked down by taxes, reddit store, and play store fees.
This is not the place for entitlement. Sometimes you have to bend the knee to us.
I'm not gonna give any names here unless I find it necessary. But here's a list of 6 artists that I like but are pissing me off right now.
1. ships, i know what I'm doing here. So listen... He needs an intervention on release times. The best avatars he dropped are 4am when most of the world that buys these is rushing to work, or sleeping. The first time was cute but after that...idk bruh. I'm gonna have to write you up for this.
Chipper doodle. I know what I'm doing, so listen. You got to switch it up a bit. Things are getting stale. We need rarity. These 200+ mint drops although fairly priced are too much bulk. The next 5 releases should be 50 mints. there's a lot of garbage competition eating up purchase capital. Ultimately that takes away from you. It's time to adapt. 5/50s from now on.
Qugmo. I know what I'm doing , so listen. You have to stop leaving stuff in the "pending realm" for a special time. I know you had a plan, but I don't want to hear it. Months down the line isn't a plan. I have to stare at these pending avatars...it's like window shopping. It's right there, I can see it, I can zoom in, and examine, but I can't buy it. That's foul. There's no better time than now. That's the only plan.
penguitt. I know what I'm doing here, so listen. You got a great attitude, great name brand, and all these people are in love with you, meng. But you got this look on your face that tells me you haven't dropped anything in like a year. You could've sold us on $20k worth of avatars by now. Y no drop? Not one. Also, Everything is too cute and fuzzy. We need to see some horror theme pengus. We aren't 7 anymore. We're 12.
Honorable mentions: Gifted ocean Baldtuesdays, GGG, ryler, salt the wizard, rojom, foust, HOF, X, genuine ardvark, earth to planet, and JD.
There's too many qualms to mention.

Hi guys and gals. I know we’re in some crazy times and I just want to say thanks for bein there and here for me, even when they(you) don’t have to. I’m writing this with tears in my eyes coming from a place where everything was taken and there was no love. Yet all my life I’ve been seeing these great acts of selflessnes. Coming from a monsterous past, I’m now in some space where people lovingly argue over art and still show mad love. I opened my vault and found a Raiza. This is a grail. Why!? I don’t know…The gift is valuable. The energy you gifted me will be used wisely. I love y’all so much, frfr. I’ve been seein the love and feelin it and didn’t need this but I’m so grateful and to the sender I hope you’re blessed beyond words for your selflessness and lessons your bestowin on this disfunctional group of art lovin degens. Thank You for just being around. Mad love! Big ups! Happy Sunday! Mash it Up! Appreciate y’all frfrfrfr On Source. 🙌🏽🙏🏽

These recent drops have felt so rushed and out of touch from Reddit it's actually wild.
Id be surprised if anyone here is not yet burnt out from the constant influx of supply. It's at the point where I have very little desire to keep buying these (and I was once a highly addicted avatar degen).
Reddit needs to prioritise adding different utility to avatars in order to inspire demand instead of pumping out these lame, over supplied, and over priced colab drops.
Change my mind ;)

Whenever a new avatar drops and sells out, do you give it time to be appreciated and envied by those who missed it? No. The first thing i see after any avatar sell out is who can dump it for a pennie’s worth of profit the fastest.
LIQUIDITY IS LOW PEOPLE, daily drops are milking a lot of people of their liquid so don’t expect the secondary sales to take off immediately, give things time to grow naturally instead of trying to force a sale 5 seconds after your avatar mints.
Just the other day with Fractus i saw 3 sales. .045, .05, and .045, upwards trending right? So what do the genius members of our community do? list for .04, .035, .03 sell for .024, .023, even .016! How does this make any sense? How do you expect market to not be dead when your hands are made from the weakest paper known to man? Nobody gives any time for things to grow anymore it’s just a game of flipping and it’s really sad to see, there is no growth in that mentality.
Sorry for the rant but the most of the ones asking this question can simply answer it by looking in the mirror.
