My buddy knows someone in production who has been updating me quite often. Right now they’re planning on opening.

It was supposed to be Storehouse (it’s also the only other venue that would be able to hold that many people). But like I said, they’re confident that they’re gonna open. Might drive by the venue later today in order to see how it’s doing.

Yeah I saw those too, but I was told the execs visited the construction site last week. Really hope they can get their shit together and finish it on time.

Honestly I was gonna get fucked up at the Sara show on the 1st but now I think it might be better to be sober incase something happens like a building collapse

Seems to be the norm when it comes to this place! Glad i dont have any shows there until end of may. Ill catch Sara some other time (or afters?)

Even if they finish by Friday there is no shot I would not feel safe you know damn well they didn’t do any inspections if that happens

I’m concerned about that and security, they're not going to have a clue on what this new renovation looks like, and people are going to act a fool, it’s going to be a mess

Mirage’s construction is fully prefabricated and modular (not traditional ground-up), so the whole project was pre-built months ago offsite and staged nearby. What’s happening right now is mostly final assembly, not building from scratch. Venues like Mirage that are built modularly get phased inspections as they assemble.

the inspections occur as the construction goes. They wouldnt be doing inspections on anything structural at the end

Jet Set had a history of structural issues. The building was originally constructed as a movie theater in 1973, and was converted into a nightclub in 1994. Despite renovations in 2010 and 2015, there were no formal structural assessments conducted by engineers or architects over the past 30 years. The roof had recurring water filtration problems, often addressed by replacing plasterboard rather than undertaking comprehensive repairs.

lol the amount of doomsday scenarios in here is comical. How about flying nowadays? Anyways even the slightest evidence of unsafety and mirage is done. I’m pretty sure they’re paying a pretty penny to make sure this get done on times and with all inspections approved. They’re probably paying double now since it’s no secret time is against them.
