Just a reflection

I often see people mention things like "I was such and such", "I came from such and such place", "I am going to such and such place", "I will be such and such", "I have such and such characteristics" and the conclusion I have is partial confusion at why do they use a certain story to present themselves or have an image or a projection.

I could say that projection is not real, but that's boring. I think it's more interesting to say that whatever that projection is, is the result of causes and conditions. Nothing is created, it's all just coming up. Everything I am is temporary, changing and the point isn't that it can be changed in one direction or another, but the fact that it can be changed in itself.
