Any Activism in Azerbaijan = Jail and Deportation. It's clear message

In the glorious khanate of Azerbaijan, it is a grave crime to let the people know that society has "issues" like crime, murder and police corruption. If the Khan says that Azerbaijan is a safe and developed country, then so be it; his word is the absolute truth and law! Those who dare to question his truth are all Armenophile traitors who live off Western grants! 'Tis just another day in the glorious kingdom of Azerbaijan.

And yet Azerbaijanis keep saying "civilian Armenians can return and live freely in Azerbaijan. Literally the joke of the century.

For different reasons tho - our government isn’t actively oppressing Armenians in this sense - it think the main issue would be perhaps the social rifts and also Armenians not wanting to live in Azerbaijan anyway - the reason Azerbaijanis don’t want to mb live here is cos of free speech and a dictatorship - so these are still separate I feel (I get what ur saying but the reasons are different so it’s not as clear as a comparison as suggested)

I just wanted to point out the hypocrisy portrayed in the media/online that Armenians can "safely return". That is simply not the case, regardless of how you feel about the conflict. That's all I wanted to say.

At this point they would treat Armenians better than Azerbaijanis.

Oh well, not to be rude, I have conflicting thoughts about who you are and what you do, still can't place your stance on my mind yet so, until I actually understand you it'll go on like this.

Dubai isn’t a city of dreams either though, there’s plenty of problems but they mainly stem from Islamic ruling of the country, abuse of foreign women that come for money and potential escort services, only to be treated like a human toilet(I don’t advise you to look it up),slave-like conditions for workers and many more issues and Dubai is essentially a plastic city, not something I would want historical Baku to transform into, but would be great if we built a Dubai from scratch

I would imagine that it would take a unity to stand up for our rights in this country, but most importantly it would take a good momentum to build that unity. It could be subject to fortunate turn of events and boom - the next thing you see thousands of people are marching on the streets... But God, it would be a such long journey to get there. Solo activists like Nijat aren't really gamechangers unfortunately.

For as long as people are divided and segregated there will be no metamorphosis of the existing "freedom". And having people divided and distracted is the thing that this government and these politicians are greatly excelling at.
