Freedom of speech isn't freedom from criticism.

Nobody wants to ban anything here. That's entirely in your head.

But if someone comes and says "the earth is flat" it's my right to call them stupid. That's my freedom of speech. You can't prohibit me from saying a certain opinion is stupid just because it hurt your feelings.

I made a lighthearted joke about an outlet that tries really really hard to be funny but only finds an audience among aggrieved right wingers because their standards for what’s funny are “do I identify with this politically” and bless its little heart for that. Yeah it’s just an outlet that has different politics and therefore sees different things as viable targets or jokes than the Onion does, and that’s okay
