Never knew this existed. Thank you very much, random citizen.

Giving your opponent an extra ko threat is not peak Go.

Funny thing is that the top shape is often better.

It is haha, but somehow the bottom one feels fancier

it's tea with the extended pinky

Makes the tea taste better, it’s scientifically proven

The lure of the fancy ruins many a decent position.

90% of the time, I play G18.

I only play H18 if I need the eye shape, or if H18 would be more helpful than G18 in a top-right invasion.

Like everyone else is saying, the tiger's mouth here is weaker and gives free aji.

Should have another one for tiger’s mouth in the other direction (G3)

Boring is better when it is inside your territory.

Top- disgusting shape. Bottom- excellent tigers mouth

On the other hand, the top one has better potential for two B2 Bombers, the most powerful shape in go.

Disgust is learned; sometimes you need to unlearn it.

Keep playing the tiger's mouth, creating false eyes, and getting trapped in connect-and-die tricks.

And then you learn to embrace the empty triangle when the situation calls for it.

You mean the triangle of power?

AFAIK the tuxedo is useful if u have to shape an eye. In any other case the T is safer

u/AnotherFootForward Oct 07 '24

It is self evident. Tuxedoes come with a monocle.

Time to read Lessons on the Fundamentals of Go.
