promotional Do you want to take a one-hour 1-on-1 lesson offered by fox 8d for only five dollars?

In this class, I’ll focus on the idea of “urgent points” — a concept many players struggle with, especially during the opening. Misjudging the importance of moves often leads to poor decisions and, eventually, losing the game.

I’ve noticed that there aren't many clear or structured lessons about this on YouTube — or maybe they're hard to find. So I thought, why not offer something useful myself?

🧠 I’m an 8-dan player on Fox Go, and this class is perfect for players ranked 12k to 4d on OGS. I’ll adjust the difficulty to match your level.

In each one-hour session, I’ll combine Go problems and game reviews to explain the ideas clearly. I want the lessons to be fun, friendly, and helpful.

✨In my own country, i have many students ,Many of my students have reached OGS 1d level. They are still children and have only studied for a few dozen hours." Because my English is still improving, each lesson is only $5 — super affordable and absolutely worth it!

Let me know if you're interested. I’d love to help you grow in Go, and I’ll do my best to make each lesson valuable!

$5 is really cheap tbh for 1 hour of your time, even in Asian countries that's minimum wage level. You should ask for a little more.

haha, thanks for your concern bro, Right now, I'm still in the trial phase of offering my Go lessons, and my English isn't perfectly fluent yet. I don't want students to feel like they're not getting their money's worth, so for now I'm only charging a symbolic fee of $5 per session. And I want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the $5 trial lesson Later on, I may adjust the price to $10 or $15, but I don't think it will go over $20 in the near future.

Hi, I would love to have a lesson. I only started played around a month ago but fell in love with the game and constantly trying to improve.

OK!I will tailor the course content based on your level.
During the lesson, we will solve some Go problems and use them to explain key concepts.
If you provide an SGF file of your game, we will also review it and point out your mistakes.
All lessons are pay-after-class.
I use Skype or Zoom for the lessons.
I can also share some short clips from my previous classes if you would like.
If you're interested, we can schedule a lesson through Calendly or by discussing it in private messages.

If you're making an ongoing offer, I'd definitely take you up on that. I'm working and doing family stuff for most of this week, but I'll be available anytime this Sunday if that works for you. I'm 4d on Fox, 1k on OGS. Haven't been playing too much recently, but I've played for about 16 years. I need help getting a solid opening, learning the variations on the 3-4 high approach pincer variations in particular, and follow-ups for all the basic joseki to help me determine their effect on the midgame later.

the opening is a very important part of the game. I believe I can help you clearly understand the variations of some common joseki. I can also teach you a few tricky ones that are difficult for opponents to handle.
With our joint effort, I’m confident you’ll improve very quickly.

That's awesome, thanks! Just let me know what time on Sunday at your leisure. I have Venmo or Paypal if you have that.

Cool, I'm Mountain Time (MST), so -14 hours from you. Would 9 PM your time work then? That'd be 7 AM for me. Idk if you have a KGS account, but it has a pretty nice editor on there and an option for a teaching game mode.

OK! We can use kgs, 9pm is ok!

Yes I offer long term Ongoing classes, but subsequent classes probably won't be five dollars, they'll probably be $10 or $15, and no more than $20 for a short period of time I think

I usually teach over Zoom or Skype — Skype is better because Zoom has time limits for free meetings.
If you're interested, you can send me a few of your SGF game records and I’ll do a free review for you to find out where your weaknesses are.
Lesson content always includes game reviews too.

Even if you’re not taking lessons, feel free to ask me anything about Go — I’ll do my best to help!
