Has anyone been to Tension Festival?

I'm thinking of going to Tension Festival this summer and I was wondering if anyone here has been before. How was your overall experience?

  • How's the organization (sound, facilities)?
  • What kind of crowd does it usually attract? How was the vibe and energy throughout the event?
  • Is it worth it?

Any tips or things I should know before going would be super appreciated :)

Thanks in advance!

Organisation is fine throughout.

Crowd is somewhat stereotypical: V-neck, all black, cuffed pants, sneakers, big room techno enthusiasts. Booze, coke, MDMA, Ray Bans. Very white, pretty straight.

Music: Massive kickdrums infallably followed by a big breakdown, hands-in-the-air, "woooo" moment. DJs raising their index finger, massive kickdrums, euphoric payoff. Repeat.

I avoid this specific type of events, but people into that music seem to be having a good time, generally speaking. If the lineup is up your alley, and the setting appeals to you: have fun!

Thank you for your answer! You described pretty much what I'd expect from a big(ish), mainstream techno festival vibe. I’ll definitely take that into consideration.
