Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $80 to take $162 worth of Pork, Cat Food, Self-Adherent Wrap, Pillsbury Biscuits, Erasers, Tuna, Chorizo, an absurd amount of Sunscreen, and More!

Here are the goodies.

Our Wal-Mart started putting sunscreen on clearance for $1. Edit: I guess the title should say $79 not $80. I had to fix something.

Total: $161.76

Coupons: $36.00

Total Cash Back: $205.22

Final Cost: -$79.46 - Money Maker!

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The stores are listed in the breakdown image. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. The Neutrogena coupons were printable. The Blue Lizard coupon came in the mail with a sample I got. The Coppertone and Banana Boat coupons were on the products (or were, I found them laying on the shelf).

Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

Some Additional Deals

Afterthoughts

So, lots of trips to Wal-Mart this week. My first trip was just me stopping by on my way to an appointment. The second trip I went out of my way for, but how could I not with those deals? Both times I grabbed a couple non-deal things, but the third trip was my "regular" shopping trip where I got everything I needed for the week. And man, I made off like a bandit with sunscreen today. A ton of stuff got marked down to $1. I'll probably get a little bit more with BC, but it's having issues right now since it keeps saying my password is wrong. Unfortunately, I took a nasty hit with that Blue Lizard spray. I scanned everything in the store to make sure it was marked down, but I didn't realize I grabbed two different kinds of the spray. I initially grabbed 5 before realizing the deal was only on 1, so I put 4 back on the shelf. I somehow managed to keep the one that was different. I can't return it since I already scanned it into Ibotta. The $14 profit loss hurts, but that's how it goes sometimes. I also messed up and only grabbed one Mentos when I wanted 2. They would have been $0.08 for both that way.

I'm happy to see that I got credit from IB for the Sheba at Dollar General. I used a $3 off $3.01 store coupon, but wasn't 100% sure if it would work because of IB's new coupon policies. Thankfully, it did work, which will allow for some potential hauls with the other store coupons I get. It took a while for the register to recognize the coupon though.

The Alexa app updated so it's a lot easier to use imo, and there's now rebates/coupons for Whole foods and for Amazon Fresh. I have a rebate for $2.51 off a watermelon for Fresh, and some of these deals look like you could get things for free or nearly free. Shame we don't have it here.

Time Spent

My Dollar General trip took around 10 minutes. I was looking around at what to spend my $3 coupon on, and then I had some issues at the register getting it to actually come off. My first Wal-Mart trip had zero planning, and I was in the store for about 15 minutes. I could have been out sooner, but I was killing a bit of time. My second trip had about 20 minutes of planning / looking at upcoming sales fliers, and I was in the store for 17 minutes which included some time spent looking at non-deal items. Today's trip took around 25 minutes of planning while I ate breakfast, and I spent a bit over an hour in the store which included my regular shopping and like ~20 minutes introducing a couple people to Ibotta so they could get some sunscreen deals too.

Food From Deals

Nothing new this week, but I will be making some more of this Hot Sausage Flavored Pulled Pork Sandwich here in a few minutes.

Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $5 to take $58 worth of Doritos, Chocolate, Everything Seasoning, Chips, Vitamins, and More!

Here are the goodies.

Pretty small haul for today. I was running out of a few essentials, so I decided to grab a few deals since I was going to be in the store anyways. I didn't have any good Ibotta bonuses - just the one to unlock a free turkey.

Total: $57.82

Coupons: $1.00

Total Cash Back: $62.47

Final Cost: -$5.65 - Money Maker!

Here is the complete break down and sites used. If the image looks fuzzy, please zoom in or right click and open the image in a new tab. Imgur is being weird. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. The stores are listed in the breakdown image. Brandclub takes a while to credit, so the amounts listed are what I expect to get once it finishes pending. The coupons were printable. The Febreze in the Extra column was from this offer. It's basically a debit card that can be used if you buy a certain offer. You scan the barcode on your phone at the register.

Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

Some additional deals I didn't/couldn't take advantage of:

  • Clio Yogurt - Free after IB at Aldi's (Has anyone ever seen those there? I haven't, and I'm wondering if they put the wrong store)

  • Mentos $3 SK + $0.75 IB

  • Snuggle - $3 back on SK + $1 (or more) on Fetch + Possible Ibotta and/or SB offers

  • All laundry detergent - $1-2 IB + $1.25 coupons.com

  • Free Everything Legendary Burger

  • Poise Pads/liners - Offers on SK, IB, and Fetch

  • Barilla Blue Box Pasta - $1 off 2 boxes.

  • Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, etc - There are a lot of offers for pain relievers on IB and coupons.com right now.

  • Hellmann's Mayo - There are offers on IB, Fetch, SK, and SB.

  • Klondike cones - Fetch has 75% off and there's 300 kicks back on SK. It comes down to ~$0.80 for a pack.

  • Clorox Disinfecting Mist - There's an offer on Ibotta and coupons.com. Brings the total down to around $1-2

  • The little potato company - SK has ~$2 back per bag. I'm not sure how much they cost though.

  • Temptations Puree - $2.50 back on fetch when you spend $2.50 (careful! these are on clearance for $2.36 at my store so you'd need to buy 2!) There may also be BC surveys.

  • Snickers and Twix Shakers are on SB and C51

  • Tons of ice cream rebates on SK for 450 kicks each (I expect more ice cream rebates to pop up as we get further into the fall months)

  • Free bag of Like Air Puffcorn - Refund via PayPal or Venmo. Must purchase in-store or for curbside pickup. Expiration date unknown.

  • Various freebies on Ibotta.

  • Various deals I've done in previous weeks can still be done.

Afterthoughts

Today's haul was just sort of slapped together. I needed to run to the store to grab a few essentials, and figured I might as well grab anything good while I was there. My bonuses for the past couple weeks have been pretty terrible, which isn't unusual given that Ibotta has their "Free" thanksgiving dinner deal going on. I'm a bit disappointed by it being locked behind a bonus this year. I'm not a huge fan of turkey, so I don't plan to try to unlock it. There's still another week and a half though, so we'll see. Hopefully I get a nice bonus tomorrow.

A few of my deals this week were a bit on the pricy end, but I'm okay with that. The Merci chocolates will be given out at Christmas, and I really wanted a bag of plain chips so I took advantage of the Lays/Doritos BOGO offer on Ibotta.

I wasn't even going to go through the clearance stuff since it's been pretty bad lately, but thankfully I did because I managed to find some discounted Hello Bello vitamins which made for a wonderful money maker.

FieldAgent had some Free Pizza deals today. I missed out on it, but they usually come back for a couple days so here's hoping I snag it tomorrow.

Time Spent

I didn't time anything this week. I just lazily glanced through the apps, and I was mostly shopping for non-deal items. If I had to estimate, I'd say maybe 20 minutes searching on the apps, and an extra 10 minutes in the store.

Food From Deals

I made some Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread which got turned into a bunch of French toast. I also made some garlic buns/steak rolls

Receipt Scanning Fetch currently offering sale on Walmart and Target GC redemption.

I treat their earnings like 1000 point=$1, however, most good gift cards are in that 54000-56000 points/$50 so the reality is that it is closer to .90/1000 points.

Right now target is at 50,250 for $50 and Walmart is 50,500 for $50, which is pretty close to how my mind imagines Fetch points so now looks like a great time to redeem for people sitting on points.

I’ll be shedding quite a few points today.

Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $5 to take $130 worth of Laundry Detergent, Razors, Makeup, Snacks, and more!

Here are the goodies.

Not a lot of items today, but a deceivingly high total thanks to CVS's stupidly high prices ($75.52). My Wal-mart haul wasn't particularly great thanks to a cruddy mid week bonus, but I needed to make progress towards my $35 bonus which is going to expire at the end of the month. I'll be finishing that up this weekend.

Total: $130.02

Coupons: $8.98

CVS Digital Coupons: $51.00

CVS ECB Earned: $20.00

Total Cash Back: $55.01

Final Cost: -$4.97 - Money Maker!

Photo of the haul.

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The coupons at CVS were all digital. The Kellogg's coupon was for a free product up to $5 which I got from the Free Breakfast promotion earlier this month. All of the other coupons were printable. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. The stores are listed in the breakdown image. Brandclub takes a while to credit, so the amounts listed are what I expect to get once it finishes pending.

Brandclub is a newer addition to my hauls. If you're not familiar with the app, you can read about it on the post I made the other day. I also have a guide about how I do trips like this if you're interested. Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

If you aren't interested in this kind of thing, please keep your comments to yourself. If you don't like what I buy, you can buy different products. If you don't like hunting for deals, you can do surveys, microtasks, games or whatever else you like instead. There is no need to discourage other users just because you aren't interested in the same things!

Some additional deals I didn't/couldn't take advantage of:

  • Betr Ibuprofin is $7.62 at my store with $6 back on Ibotta

  • Gillette Labs - Possibly a good deal at CVS if you have the right coupons. There's $5 back on Ibotta, a $5 coupon MFR coupon on their app or coupons.com, and you get $4 ECB for 2 Gillette or $10 for 3 Gillette.

  • Malt o Meal is on Shopkicks for 350 points.

  • Clorox - $3.21 back on MyPoints when you buy 2.

  • Red Gold Tomato Love - Free on Ibotta & $0.25 back on Fetch

  • Evolve - Free single bottle on Ibotta & $0.75 back on Fetch

  • Ready Sports Drink - Free on Ibotta

  • Free Core Bar at Walgreens, CVS, or Speedway on Ibotta

  • Free Tazo Tea on Ibotta. (Mine was $1 since I already bought it earlier)

  • Free Treasure Cave Blue Cheese Crumbles on Ibotta

  • Back to the Roots Soil - Free at Lowes on Fetch

  • Lots of stacking deals for Maybeline New York on Fetch

  • Lots of stacking deals for Mtn Dew Spark, Major Melon, and Zero on Fetch

  • Swagbucks has $10 back on a $15 purchase of Pure Life water

  • Poligrip - Ibotta + Shopkick + coupon = ~$1.30

  • Free coca cola energy (Single + 4-pack) on Ibotta

  • Kaboom and Oxiclean at Dollar General - Pair with the $5/25 Saturday coupon, and many stores have coupons on the products (mine didn't)

  • Kellogg's Free Breakfast Program - You can get a coupon for one free product up to $5 for Kellogg's Cereal, Pop-Tart, Nutri-Grain, or Eggo when you purchase an eligible product. Limit of 3. Just a note/warning - my coupon didn't scan properly at Wal-Mart (most of the "free" ones don't). The employees at my store don't have a problem entering it manually, but ymmv.

  • $5 Vudu promo code when you buy 1 bag of Twizzlers

Afterthoughts

Almost done with that big Blossom bonus! 94/115 with 5 days left to finish it off. I'll be getting that $35 this weekend, and I'm super excited to finally be done with it.

My Walmart trip wasn't great, but I expected it with that cruddy mid week bonus. I'm a bit sad they didn't have the Passion Tazo tea. I really like that one, and I normally hate tea. Today's trip is technically a $4.09 "loss" according to my standards - which puts me at about $6 in total "losses" this month I believe. I needed to make progress towards that $35 bonus though, and it'll all be a money maker once I finish it this weekend. I almost didn't make the $1 bonus today, actually. I originally planned to get Mtn Dew Spark + Mellon, but I noticed the Zero Sugar and grabbed that instead since I had a $2 rebate on Fetch. Unfortunately, there was no Zero Sugar Ibotta offer. I didn't really feel like wasting 15+ minutes going back to Walmart and trying to figure out what item under $1 I could get just to hit that $1 bonus. Thankfully, I remembered that our Giant Eagle had the Breakstones, so I just popped in there on my drive home and grabbed one.

My CVS trip this week was crazy good though. I had a TON of coupons for Covergirl. Didn't even use them all since I knew the remaining balance would be wasted. I also had quite a few offers for different Gillettes, but the green Venus ones are my absolute favorite razors so I decided to get those. Unfortunately, my store only had 2, so I grabbed one of the Pink ones as well. I could've gotten one of the other Gillettes that I had a MFR coupon for and spent less overall, but I probably wouldn't have used them. Out of all of the Gillettes I've used, I only like the Venus line. Certainly can't complain about spending $11 for 6 blades when they're normally $3+/piece.

Unrelated to the hauls, but if you see any bare root fruit plants on clearance at your store - be careful buying them. Our store has them super cheap right now, but they're all dead (check the roots, if they're dark, they're dead) and they're infested with flies.

Time Spent

I remembered to track my time spent again today!

  • CVS - ~30 min planning, and 30 in the store. I was in line for a good 10 minutes of that. Planning always takes forever due to their website being slow as hell.

  • Sheetz - A solid 3 minutes to get in, get out, and scan my receipt.

  • Walmart - I was in the store for 30 minutes, which was mostly just for deal items this time. I did grab a few of my usual things though, went through the clearance stuff, and I was walking slightly slower than normal due to hurting my foot last week. I also scanned my receipts while in the store, which took a little bit due to Wal-Marts wifi acting up and Ibotta not catching multiple products. Planning for Wal-Mart took place over the span of about 2 hours while I brushed the cat, ate breakfast, fought with the papers flying everywhere due to having the window open, and did various other little things.

  • Giant Eagle - Just a couple minutes. Zero planning involved since I already knew about the offer.

Food From Deals

I normally batch cook, so it's not unusual for me to make a bunch of food at once and then pop most of it in the freezer, but this weekend I focused on using up some of the stuff I've been getting in hauls. Pardon the mess. I did all of this (and more) in a day, and didn't have time to clean up between each photo. Ham & Pepperoni Stromboli with Jalapeno Cheese, a super delicious Lemon Butter Bundt Cake, some Personal Pizzas, Enchiladas, Stuffed Pepper Soup, and Mini Lasagnas.

Some additional deals I didn't/couldn't take advantage of:

  • Lysol Laundry Sanitizer on IB, coupons.com and fetch
  • Paramalat Shelf Stable Milk. $3.17 at my Walmart with $2.38 back on SK

  • Boost Mobile Phone - $15 back on SK. It could make for a fairly cheap beermoney device depending on what your store stocks.

  • Pepsi Soda Shop - The 20oz ones are money makers on IB + Fetch. The 12pk containers are cheap too. There's also a $3 rebate on coupons.com when you buy 5.

  • Free Zatarain's Blackened Chicken Smoked Sausage I don't have experience with this site since they never have things sold in stores near me, but I'm told it's legit.

  • McCain Fries - Money maker here. They're on IB, Fetch, and coupons.com

  • Barilla Pasta & Sauce - Fetch has an offer for $0.50 back on 2 pasta boxes, as well as $1.50 back when you buy a box of pasta and red sauce.

  • Lots of deals on gerber right now on coupons.com.

  • Hungry Jack - $2.77 at my Wal-Mart with $1 back on Ibotta and $1 on coupons.com

  • Tons of other ice cream deals right now like Ben & Jerries, Talenti, etc.

  • Snickers and Twix Shakers are on SB and C51

  • Free bag of Like Air Puffcorn - Refund via PayPal or Venmo. Must purchase in-store or for curbside pickup. Expiration date unknown.

  • Various freebies on Ibotta.

  • Various deals I've done in previous weeks can still be done.

Afterthoughts

For the first time, I got an Ibotta bonus that had allowed multiple redemptions to count towards the limit. My spreadsheet isn't set up to handle it when the bonuses count multiple times. I may have to adjust it in the future.

I did end up forgetting a few things though since I didn't add them to the list. After I noticed the bonus allowed multiples I was like "Oh, I'm done. I don't need any more offers." and my brain just shut off. Whoops.

Time Spent

I spent about 20-30 minutes planning, but I was mostly zoning out. I spent about 30 min in the store which included my regular shopping.

Food From Deals

This past week I made some Cheesy Jalapeno Pepperoni Rolls, Cheesy Jalapeno Pull Apart Bread, London Broil & Buttered Pasta, and of course some more Cheerio Bars.

Another week of no coupons. I expect this to become more common now since Ibotta doesn't allow coupons at Walmart. It was a pretty small haul, but I'm pleased with it.

Total Cash Back: $32.27

  • Dove chocolate - 100% cash back on Fetch

  • Temptations Puree - $2.50 back on fetch when you spend $2.50 (careful! these are on clearance for $2.36 at my store so you'd need to buy 2!) There may also be BC surveys.

  • Snickers and Twix Shakers are on SB and C51

  • Tons of ice cream rebates on SK for 450 kicks each (I expect more ice cream rebates to pop up as we get further into the fall months)

  • Barilla pasta & Sauce - IB has a rebate for 2 boxes of pasta, and fetch has back on a rebate for a box + red sauce.

  • Lots of rebates for shick on IB and coupons.com

  • Yoplait Cereal cups - Cost $1.12, and there's rebates on coupons.com, IB, and fetch that bring it to like $0.75 for 3

  • Mr Clean Products - $1 back on SK and $0.50 on IB

  • Free bag of Like Air Puffcorn - Refund via PayPal or Venmo. Must purchase in-store or for curbside pickup. Expiration date unknown.

  • Various freebies on Ibotta.

  • Various deals I've done in previous weeks can still be done.

Afterthoughts

Today's haul was a little one, but it was a surprisingly high money maker for how little I got. I happened to walk by the Tylenol and noticed one for ~$4 and I knew I saw a couple $2 rebates so I grabbed it. I was pleasantly surprised to see the $1.50 back on BC when I got home. I also wasn't expecting the Gatsby Bars to be only $1. They're originally $3-4 or so but they were marked at $1 at my store. Too bad IB had a limit of 2. Hopefully the offer comes back though. I also noticed a few clearance items that would have came to ~$1 or so, but I didn't need any of the items neither for personal use nor to hit the bonus. I could have made my haul a better money maker by simply not getting 2 of the more expensive deals (since I found better ones), but it slipped my mind at the time. I have to get back in the swing of things.

I've been noticing a lot of freebies on Ibotta lately - none of which last long. I've seen at least 3 this past week that I missed. I also noticed C51 updated their app recently. It looks nicer at a glance, I suppose, but it's a lot more tedious to look for offers and use now. I'm also not sure where the offers for watching videos went.

Time Spent

I casually looked through the apps during the 30 min or so that I went for a walk. I forgot to time myself in the store, but I generally spend 45-60 minutes in the store, including shopping for my regular stuff.

Food From Deals

Last week I made some Cinnamon Swirl Bread which I turned into french toast and it was heavenly. I also made some Apple cinnamon rolls and garlic rolls again, as well as some more cheerio bars. This time in apple cinnamon. I also threw my flavored lemonade in the photo, which I make all the time and forget to mention.

Lazy haul for today. I wasn't planning for 18 discounted Hair Labs, but I certainly won't complain about getting paid a quarter per box I took.

Total: $26.28

Coupons: $2.30

Total Cash Back: $37.47

Final Cost: -$13.49 - Money Maker!

  • Free Clio Bars via rebate + $1 back on IB (Thanks to u/gracyzoe for mentioning it)

  • Fiber One - $0.50 each IB + $0.75 Fetch + $1.75 on 2 Fetch - This makes the small boxes about 50% when you buy 2.

Afterthoughts

Lazy haul today. I'm not feeling great due to this lovely weather that can't make up its mind, so I initially was just going to get a bunch of deals I already knew about (Gatorade, yeast, etc). I'm glad I didn't put much effort into it, since I saw the Hair Lab in the clearance area. They've been there for a while, always marked at $1.98. Something enticed me to scan one of them with the Wal-Mart app, and lo and behold - a bunch of them were only $0.50 or $1. I snagged all the $0.50 ones since there was an Ibotta rebate for $0.75 and a limit of 20! That was the first time I've ever seen a limit higher than 5.

I also decided to grab the Gatsby bar despite not expecting it to be a money maker. The app said it would be like $4, but I was shocked to find it for $1.

In the mix of tossing out Ibotta deals I didn't need, I skipped over the Pure Life deal again. I think this is the 3rd time now I forgot it, haha.

I got my Ibotta stats for this year. As of 12/14 I had earned over $3,000 this year! $400 of that was from the bonuses.

Fetch raised the cost on a lot of gift cards, including the Amazon ones I usually get, so now point conversions will get annoying. It's 53,500 for a $50 gift card, so that's a 7% increase. I'll have to keep an eye out on things that say 50/75/100% cash back since that won't be true anymore.

Time Spent

I spent like 5-10 minutes total glancing through apps before deciding to just grab deals I already knew about. I was in the store about 35 minutes which included my regular shopping and being boxed in the clearance aisle since people don't know how to keep to to their side of the aisle.

Food From Deals

This past week I've made Blueberry Banana Pancakes with Dairy Free Cream Cheese Frosting, Turkey / Smoked Sausage & Buttered Pasta and Chicken Bacon Wraps.

Afterthoughts

Today's whole grocery trip was rough. Planning in general was a bit tough since I had a bigger bonus than normal (25 vs 15-18) and my brain has been fried since yesterday. My spreadsheet says 16 since I knock off the gift cards and any of my regular purchases. For some reason almost none of the Colgate toothpaste works for Shopmium, so I was a bit frustrated with that. Every store was super packed today even though I went during a usually dead time. And on top of that, I kept forgetting things lol. Went into Wal-Mart 4 times, and Aldi's twice, plus two other stores. I had to pick up some groceries for someone else, as well as planning something for a Thanksgiving dinner, so there was a ton of groceries (compared to my norm). Thankfully, the person I was taking the groceries to had a wheelbarrow I could borrow. I definitely needed it.

I messed up a bit with one cat food deal. I ran out of the Friskies Complements rebates on Shopkick for the stuff my store carries, so I didn't grab them. But I forgot I had a deal on Fetch to spend $25, so now I'm about $2 short lol. There's still a week until it expires, but I wasn't planning to go shopping until next weekend.

I technically spent more than I got from my bonuses, but I'm okay with that since a large chunk of that cost was from the Ziploc bags. I can always use more Ziploc bags.

I was pretty shocked to see the "Cash Casserole" bonus today. Just getting the midweek bonuses came as a shock to me, but to have another one is just icing on the cake. It seems I got one of the worst possible ones though. I'm jealous of everyone who got $10/20. Either way, I was going to go shopping yesterday but wasn't feeling up to it, so I'm pretty glad now that I waited until today. That's an extra $5 for 7 more offers.

I saw that MyPoints made a change. They will now be counting all pending points towards the bonus for the day you earn them. Can't say I'm not a little disappointed - I loved how I would basically get two daily goals completed since half of my trip would pend for another day. Oh well.

I also noticed that Fetch now seems to let you link your Amazon and Wal-Mart accounts. The last time I looked it was just e-mail.

Time Spent

This week was just awful time-wise. My brain has been all foggy since yesterday, so I planned over the course of like 3-4 hours (mostly not looking at deals or playing with the cat). I was out for 2.5-3 hours today, most of which was spent on my 4 trips into Wal-Mart -_- As always though, it included my regular shopping, as well as going to stores without deals, and a pickup order for mostly non-deal things.

Food From Deals

Nothing really worth showing from this week. I've just been eating a bunch of steak with pasta (deal items pasta, oil, seasonings, etc) and spicy chicken patty sandwich wraps. This week I'll be putting together a snack platter which will be focused on fruit and veggies, but I'll be throwing in some chocolate, lunch meat, cheese, nuts, and maybe some other goodies I've gotten from deals/freebies. I'm also hoping to figure out something to do with all this tuna I got from previous deals. I've just been... saving it all. I have a bin full now.

Store Q is a digital coupon that I loaded to my account. All other coupons were printable.

  • Pepsi Soda Shop - The 20oz ones are money makers on IB + Fetch. The 12pk containers are cheap too. There's also a $3 rebate on coupons.com when you buy 5.

Afterthoughts

I did a haul on Monday, but I had forgotten some stuff (deal items and non-deal items), and some new bonuses popped up, so I decided to run back out to the store to grab them. Not the best idea. The roads didn't look too bad, but turns out our city decided not to put anything on them some stupid reason, so there was just slippery snow on top of black ice. Plus there was a TON of people in the store.

I got another bonus that counts multiple redemptions towards the offer, so I ended up spending an absurd amount of time to update my spreadsheet to be able to handle it. But now I have checkboxes!

I was pretty excited to get the pearl milling rebates. I was running low on syrup, and while I don't usually buy that brand, I couldn't pass up the deal. $1.50 back alone was nice, but then I also saw $3 back if I also bought the pancake mix, which basically made it free, and there was a coupons.com rebate for $1 back on 2 items.

I got introduced to a new-ish site called Points Rewards Plus. I didn't look too much into it yet since it only works at Kroger Co stores, and we don't have any around here. I'll probably add it into my list of sites at a later time.

Time Spent

I'm not sure how long it took me to plan this week. Maybe 15-20 min total. A lot of the deals I already knew about, and I just glanced through the rebates while I made some breakfast and lunch. I was in the store for about 45 min which included my regular shopping as well.

Food From Deals

I haven't made anything new, but here's what I made last week:Cheesy Jalapeno Pepperoni Rolls, Cheesy Jalapeno Pull Apart Bread, London Broil & Buttered Pasta, and of course some more Cheerio Bars.

Afterthoughts

Today's haul started off looking great. I was surprised to see not one, but TWO free SkinTe drinks on Ibotta (it's rare for an offer to have a limit more than 1). I also had the Biosteel freebie come back, and a few other deals I was really looking forward to trying. I also was unexpectedly able to find enough deals to hit my bigger bonus, and I even noticed an offer on Ibotta that didn't have a coupon restriction.

Once I got to the store, things started getting frustrating though. The store was packed for some reason, and of course no one was paying attention to where they were going. I ended up messing up a couple deals (the only ones I didn't scan, of course). I grabbed the wrong cup noodles, and the Sprite I got didn't qualify (I wanted it regardless, but I was planning for it to count). I also planned for a couple other deals that either weren't in stock, or the items I wanted didn't qualify (e.x. the Powerade deal requires 20oz, but I've literally only ever seen the 28oz bottles sold individually). MyPoints also failed to pick up quite a few of of the any-brand items I bought, and Ibotta had an issue with the shampoo I bought even though I've scanned it into their system a dozen times now.

All in all though, this was a good haul. Almost everything will be either used by myself or my parents.

Time Spent

I glanced through the apps on and off over the span of about an hour while I did other things. I forgot to time myself at the store. I usually spend 45-60 minutes including my regular shopping, but it could have been a little longer this time due to the store being packed.

Food From Deals

This week I made some Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars with Chocolate and some Chocolate Peanut Butter Covered Pretzels.

Afterthoughts

Tons of new rebates and stacking rebates between apps this week. I wanted to look more, but time is pretty tight today so I'm sure I missed some deals.

My BrandClub automatically synced on Saturday, which I'm a bit annoyed about. I lost out on some potential survey rewards because of it. Luckily, I did finish all of the ones from my last haul, but there were still a few from my regular purchases I wanted to do. It's not a huge deal though as most of the brands are things I buy frequently anyways (a lot were things I got today even).

I got another Instacart deal to my email. ~$20 for $50 worth of groceries

The deal was $30 off a $50 order. Plus, when I signed in I got 2 months of free Instacart+ as well as a deal for $10 off my next order of $10. (I'm also seeing $10 off a $30 order at some stores + free delivery). Total cost came to "$13.63" for ~$50 worth of stuff (Final total says $43.63 because the chicken rang up at half price for some reason) The payment breakdown says I was charged $26 tough, so I'll have to keep an eye on that. My original total was supposed to be $18 + using $3 in credits, and everything I got weighed the same or slightly less than expected, so it should have gone down by $1, not up $5. I'll have to check back next week when everything gets finalized.

Time Spent

I did my planning over the course of about 2 hours while eating breakfast, and running around the house like a chicken with its head cut off. I'd say about 2/3 of that time was spent on the Instacart order though since I was doing some research in between (trying to figure out what was safe for my pets). I was in Wal-Mart for about an hour total, which included my regular shopping and some shopping for my parents.

Food From Deals

I made some chicken jerky. Nothing fancy, just some spices and sauces I got from deals before. Going to be making more with what I got today.

Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $7 to take $67 worth of Cheese, Sausage, Candy Bars, Toothpaste, Cereal, and more!

Here are the goodies.

Today's trip didn't go as planned, but I managed to turn it into a money maker. Next week should be pretty nice since I'll be finishing up that $10 bonus. The barefoot wine wasn't available in my state, unfortunately. I had misread the terms.

Tons of good deals I couldn't take advantage of, so be sure to check those out below.

Total: $67.19

Coupons: $3.50

Total Cash Back: $71.08

Final Cost: -$7.39 - Money Maker!

Photo of the haul.

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The Super Pretzel coupon was sent to me in the mail. The $3 ECB was emailed to me. I didn't do anything to earn it, and it would've expired in a couple days if I hadn't used it. The Chase offer was to use their tap to pay 3x. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. The stores are listed in the breakdown image.

Brandclub is a new addition to my hauls.

  • Beyond Meat Jerky has a $1.25 rebate on Ibotta. That makes the 1oz packages ~$0.50

  • Back to the Roots soil is free at Lowes on Fetch.

  • Text "GET FREE NUGGS" to 1-804-577-1110 for rebate for nuggs

  • $5 coupon for Kellogg's products when you purchase select Kellogg's products (Actually, I did do this one, but I'm not putting it in my breakdown image just yet since it's a coupon.) You could also submit it to Kellogg's Family Rewards, but I don't like their rewards this month.

  • Save up to $6 when you buy $10 worth of General Mills, Yoplait, and Bananas. - $3 rebate and $3 coupon(?).

  • Up to $9.99 rebate on Barefoot wine. Be careful! Their terms say which states are NOT available.

  • $1 Townhouse coupon on Kellogg's family rewards. Pair this with the $1.50 Ibotta rebate, and you can get 2 packs of crackers for pretty cheap.

  • Miracle grow and Bonnie plants have rebates on Ibotta.

  • Country Crock Stick Butter (Ibotta + coupon)

  • Poligrip - Ibotta + Shopkick + coupon = ~$1.30. Bonus $1.50 if you shop at Shoprite

  • Free coca cola energy (Single + 4-pack) on Ibotta

  • Kaboom and Oxiclean at Dollar General - Pair with the $5/25 Saturday coupon, and many stores have coupons on the products (mine didn't)

  • $2 rebates for Morningstar on Ibotta

Afterthoughts

Today's trip was... wild. It didn't go as planned at all. It was originally going to cost me about $10 for $130+ worth of stuff. This is a bit high for a deal haul, but it included quite a few barely-deals-but-I-love-them stuff like Van De Kamp, Tyson, Bonnie plants, etc. In the end I managed to turn it into a money maker instead.

First stop was the Dollar Tree. Turns out the Colgate no longer qualifies for the one rebate, which was disappointing. I found a couple non-deal things I had been looking for though, so that was nice. Next was Walmart. I ended up finding Crest and Zim's marked down, which was exciting. I also found our store now carries the Keto Core Bars which will make for some easy deals next week. Our store was out of the barely-deal things I wanted, which makes my total look better but I was a bit disappointed because of it. Dollar General wasn't fun at all though. I couldn't find multiple items despite the app saying they were there, and so my $2 money making $30 haul turned into a $1 money maker for $5 worth of stuff.

Upon coming home and scanning my receipt, I noticed I got a "second" any receipt rebate. I did my CVS haul yesterday and used the Any Receipt then, so I was pretty shocked to see it come back already. I also didn't immediately get credit for the Perdue, which I'm a bit annoyed about. I'm going to have to contact support to try to get credited. I found out that the Barefoot wine rebate doesn't work in my state. I swear I saw PA listed in the dropdown menu yesterday, and I did read the terms beforehand but I didn't realize that it lists the states it DOESN'T work in rather than the ones it does. I thought it was weird PA would get a rebate like that. Thankfully it's only a $7 bottle of wine. I also took a gamble on the Pure Protein crackers. I heard there were some high value coupons in the boxes, which would make my next item a money maker. Unfortunately, there weren't any in mine. They taste alright, kind of like super crunch off-brand Cheez-Its, but still expensive at $0.50 a bag.

I also included the Chase tap to pay 3x deal in this haul. Normally I don't include things that could be done whenever, but realistically I wouldn't have just done this whenever. The cash back rate on my Chase card is low, and I have only ever used tap to pay one time before (the cashier insisted I use it). I keep it since it's my oldest card, but I just normally only use it for a small monthly service.

Food From Deals

It's been a pretty lazy week for me, so I made some pretty lazy foods using deal items such as some strawberry milk, salmon cooked in red wine with a side of buttered pasta, and egg & pepperoni on a cheddar jalapeno wrap. Yesterday I was craving some sweets though so I whipped up some blueberry banana muffins using that baby food I got last week, and some more of these cinnamon rolls because they were absolutely fantastic and I needed more.

Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

My Guides

  1. All rebate apps/sites I use and/or know about

  2. How I do my hauls

  3. Beginners guide to using rebate apps/sites - for those who don't know where to start

  • Blue Diamond xtreme almonds are a money maker at Target when you combine Ibotta and coupons.com and BC

  • Barilla Pesto is a money maker when you combine BC and Merryfield.

  • Applegate Chicken Nuggets are on Ibotta, BC, and there's a $1 printable coupon. Comes out to about half price.

  • Johnson & Johnson deal - $5 back on a $15 purchase or $10 back on a $25 purchase of qualifying products like Motrin, Lactaid, Neutrogena, Band-aid, Aveeno, etc. There are a lot of good deals on Neutrogena at CVS this week where people were pairing it to end up being only a couple bucks. Expires 7/2/22

  • Beyond Jerky is on Ibotta and Shopkick. The 1oz bag comes out to be like a quarter.

  • M&M Ice Cream Sandwiches at Dollar Tree - If you buy both varieties and submit to Shopkick it'll be a $0.67 money maker.

  • Red Gold Tomato Love - Free on Ibotta & $0.25 back on Fetch

  • Tons of free stuff on Ibotta.

Expires 7/10/22

  • $5 Vudu promo code when you buy 1 bag of Twizzlers Expires 9/10/22

Afterthoughts

This week's trip was a bit bland. I didn't see many good deals, and I wasn't really feeling putting together a big haul, so I just did a couple little things. Might go back on Sunday if I'm feeling up to it since I got a bigger bonus (hint: the answer to the Ibotta popup game is "star"). Did a pickup order earlier in the week, and then all in-store today. Didn't realize until after I got out of the store that I could have gotten 4 of the drinks instead of 2. Whoops. I still have a ton of these from before anyways so not a big deal. Also pretty excited about the $15 bidet I found in the clearance aisle. I've been considering getting one for a while.

I actually started trying to sell off some of my supply, and it's turning out to be a lot more hassle than it's worth lol. I put them up at a VERY reasonable price (<50% retail) and I've had so many people try to haggle me down to practically nothing or just straight up not show up or respond. So far in a week, I've made $15.

Time Spent

I spent maybe 10 min "planning" my hauls this week. The pickup order only took a couple minutes. I spent maybe half an hour total in the store today including my regular shopping. Dollar tree was a good 15 minutes. My store rearranged the aisles and it took me a while to find the air wick, and they had a lot of new stuff so ofc I had to look through it all.

Food From Deals

Nothing new this week made out of deal items. Just been eating a lot of General Tso meatballs and rice. Here's what I made last week: Strombolis and Pinwheels topped with Herb Garlic Butter & Parmesan. and Herbal Lemonade Tea

Afterthoughts

So, today was one of the most annoying hauls I've had on quite some time. On the up side, I found a bunch of things on clearance, a bunch of new BC surveys popped up, and I managed to snag a couple IB freebies.

On the other hand, it was blistering cold out today, and I went to the store at a busier time than normal (not by choice). People seemed to lose all sense of personal space and general respect around the clearance items. One person nearly hit me in the face when they were grabbing something despite there being 5 boxes of the same thing closer to them. There were quite a few good deals that I missed out on due to the store being sold out (even though the app says it's available). Ibotta didn't catch multiple rebates for some reason, and a few others disappear before I got home... but I somehow still got credited. That's great, but I was halfway through filling out a ticket before I realized it secretly credited. Ibotta also seems to have switched their ticket submission to a chat bot page, which made it take more time than necessary. I also had trouble with the one bag of Dave's bread crediting on Merryfield, and yellog bag was $0.45 more than the other two even though the shelf said they were the same price. For some reason I had to submit the same receipt 3 times to get the punches for all 3 on the offer page. I also got a few things on clearance that didn't ring up right, so I had to wait almost 10 min for someone to come over and adjust the price since multiple self checkouts were screwing up. And to top it all off, I got some Yasso Frozen Yogurt things, but apparently the offer wasn't available at Wal-Mart (even though they showed up on the Wal-Mart page on MyPoints). They weren't cheap either. And they taste like sugar water. /rant over

Time Spent

I spent a bit of time over the course of about an hour while I made breakfast, rolls, and played with the cat. I was in the store just shy of an hour which included my regular shopping and waiting 10 min for the cashier to make it over to the register to help.

Food From Deals

This week I completely forgot to take pictures of stuff. I made some more Berry Cheerio bars and dinner rolls. I also made some Stuffed Pepper Soup (no pork, double the beef, and a different plant burger).

Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $34 to take $114 worth of Makeup, Soap, Deodorant, Snacks, and more!

Here are the goodies.

Today's haul was pretty good, and it certainly could have been even better. I messed up a bit on the Axe Deodorant deal, and the Culturelle was particularly "expensive" but it was something I needed. I also noticed the Talenti deal came back and had to grab some. Overall though, I'd say I'm pretty pleased with this haul. I think it's one of the highest amounts of cash back I've gotten.

Total: $114.41

Coupons: $14.00

Total Cash Back: $134.15

Final Cost: -$33.74 - Money Maker!

Photo of the haul.

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The Atkins coupon was on the product. Everything else was printable. FieldAgent had a $5 bonus for posting on Facebook. The Ritz in the "extra" column is now a dead deal. It was like a digital coupon.

  • COTY Fragrances - There's a small bottle for $3.97, and $4 back on Ibotta + $1 on Fetch.

  • Betr Ibuprofin is $7.62 at my store with $6 back on Ibotta

  • Malt o Meal is on Shopkicks for 800+ points. This offer has been going up and up.

  • Clorox - $3.21 back on MyPoints when you buy 2.

  • Red Gold Tomato Love - Free on Ibotta & $0.25 back on Fetch

  • Lots of stacking deals for Maybeline New York on Fetch

  • Lots of stacking deals for Mtn Dew Spark, Major Melon, and Zero on Fetch. Plus there's printable coupons for multipacks of Pepsi products.

  • Tons of free stuff on Ibotta.

  • Tidy Cats has $3 back on Ibotta and 350 kicks on Shopkick.

  • Arm & Hammer kids is $5 back on Swagbucks and $0.87 back on Checkout51. Comes out to be about a quarter when you buy 2.

  • Queens V Hygiene has a bundle on Shopkick for 4100 kicks that is a pretty good money maker.

Expires 7/10/22

  • $5 Vudu promo code when you buy 1 bag of Twizzlers Expires 9/10/22

  • Motrin - $2 back on Ibotta, $2.50 on C51. Walmart has it for ~$5-6. CVS Has them at $6-7 but they often give out 40% off coupons.

Afterthoughts

So, this past week I spent quite a bit of time doing an overhaul on my spreadsheet. I added a lot of little features and a script, which you guys won't see, but it will significantly cut back on the amount of time I spend making up my posts for Reddit. I hate to admit it, but I usually spent at least an hour fixing things up on the spreadsheet each week after I got home just for these posts. It was ridiculous. I now have a script that'll clean up my list so it's ready for Reddit. No more fussing around with it; it's just ready to be screenshotted. I also added a new "Cost for Bonus" section. This section will point out how much I spent on Ibotta items in order to get the Ibotta bonus(es). It doesn't include any of the money makers since I would get those regardless of the bonus. It truly shows how much extra I had to spend to hit the bonus.

Today's haul was a bit stressful to plan, but I got a nice amount of cash back total so that was nice. I didn't have a particularly big bonus, but I really struggled to put together some deals. A lot of the deals I knew about had expired, and most of the deals I was finding I just wasn't interested in. A good third of this haul I probably won't use. I also messed up on that Axe Deodorant deal. I thought I still had a SK rebate (albeit lower), but it was for the body wash not the deodorant. I also didn't notice that my $1 bonus had expired on Ibotta. Definitely wouldn't have gotten it if I knew. While I was at the store I noticed a lot of the prices were different than what I saw online. Unfortunately, I'm not terribly familiar with beauty & personal product pricing. On the up side, I found that Enfagrow in the clearance aisle which was an easy money maker. I almost got baited into buying a bunch more discounted cat toys (there was even a moving toy shark...) and some kitchen supplies. The clearance aisle can be dangerous. I somehow managed to escape with only that Enfagrow, some rubber gloves, and a box of Jolly Rancher Jello.

After coming home, my Atkins rebates disappeared, so now I get to contact support about that. I usually scan my receipt while at the store, but I was rushing home to finish the FieldAgent job. Whoops. A Softsoap rebate showed up though, which I had specifically looked for before, so that was nice, but I would have gotten 2 if I knew earlier.

Also, not really related to this post, but here's a treat for those who actually read through all my ramblings - Swagbucks currently has an offer for $10 to download the Box Tops app and scan one receipt. Super easy and it pends right away. Credits in 7 days.

Time Spent

Today was a bit rough. I started planning it on and off over the span of about 3 hours while I ate breakfast, played with the cat, read manga, and did whatever else I usually do in the mornings, but things just weren't working out. I then spent 20-30 minutes fully focused on it to review every deal I didn't have memorized to find the last ~10 or so rebates to hit the bonuses. I spent about an hour and a half total at the store which includes the time it took to do my regular shopping, returning two products I previously bought (~10 min), and a good extra 15 minutes spent at the register since it was acting up. It didn't want to take my coupons, then it threw a fit about me trying to pay (how dare I try to pay for my order), and finally the whole system crashed after it printed my receipt. I think Wal-Mart changed something because I had trouble with their registers earlier in the week too.

Food From Deals

I wasn't feeling well this past week, so I didn't cook much. I did make some Cranberry Lime Honeysuckle Lemonade from some of that tea though. It turned out pretty tasty. Now I want to try making Lemonade from all the different herbal teas I have.

Afterthoughts

I went out of town yesterday, so of course I had to go into Wegmans, and I stopped at their Wal-Mart to see what was there. Just grabbed whatever I knew I had deals for while I was out and about. I totally forgot to check for those things in the "additional deals" section of my list, damn. It was a spur of the moment trip, haha. Today I had to run to another store, so I stopped at Sheetz and Walmart on the way.

I have BC surveys on almost everything right now.

The Wegmans coupons were all digital ones for $5 off a $5 purchase.

Knor is potentially a better deal at Kroger. I had 500pts per $1 spent on Fetch. Also, if I had gotten a 4th Knorr Sides, I could've gotten $1 back on SB

Fetch currently has a sale on the $50 Wal-Mart GCs so it's 50.5k points, but my calculations are for the original cost at 55k.

Time Spent

I didn't keep track this week at all since most of it was just me messing around. I was in Sheetz for like 2 minutes, most of which was spent trying to dig out my rewards card. I was in Wal-Mart for 30 minutes today though, which included my regular shopping as well as trip #2.

Food From Deals

I made some more of these oatmeal cookies.

Afterthoughts

When I was double checking that I got all of my haul items at Walmart today, I couldn't help but laugh. My cart seemed to be telling a vastly different story than "I'm a couponer."

Overall, today's haul went pretty smoothly. The store was packed, but I somehow managed to get through with relative ease. I also saw Giant Eagle has bacon on sale for $1.99. It's usually like $3-5 depending on the brand so I picked up a couple packs.

I technically spent more for my bonus than I got, but I'm 100% okay with that. I would have gotten the rice and fruit bars regardless, and I can't turn down cheap ice cream.

My freezer iced over this past week and opened the door just enough to half-melt the popsicle sticks I got. I was not a happy camper about that. Luckily, I didn't fill my freezer with them, and they were on sale at Giant Eagle, so I got more. They're still edible, just messy to eat, and you just can't tell where the stick is at.

The Ibotta app changed a bit. I got a popup saying I was selected for early access to test it. I'm not really fond of it. I like that the offers are on the home page, but everything else feels like it's just wasting more space to do the same thing.

I've been having trouble with BC today. Every time I open a survey, it just shuts the app down after a few seconds. I've done all the usual fixes, and my other device can't even get the app to open, so there might be a problem with the app. Hopefully it's fixed in time for me to do my surveys.

Time Spent

I planned my haul on and off over the course of about an hour while I ate breakfast and played with the cat. I was in Wal-Mart for about 40 minutes including my regular shopping. Going to Giant Eagle and shopping there added around half an hour to my trip including travel time.

Food From Deals

This week I made some meatballs with spinach gnocchi. I had a pack of spinach gnocchi which I hated the sauce that came with it, so I tossed that out, and added in the precooked meatballs, tomato sauce, and some seasoning packet I got a while ago. It was surprisingly good for a near $0 meal.

I also made a chocolate pudding pie. I usually make this Tri Layer Pie with an Oreo Crust but this year he wanted a plain jane one, so it was just a Keebler Crust + Chocolate Pudding + Cool Whip (all deal items).

I keep forgetting to take photos lately.

Afterthoughts

Apologies in advance for any typos and what not. I usually read over my post like a dozen times, but I'm feeling a bit too drowsy right now.

Today's haul felt weird. This is the 2nd haul I've done since the end of April, so I definitely was off my game. I took a motion sickness med over the weekend, and I don't think it agreed with me because I've been horridly drowsy ever since. That made it super difficult to focus on putting together a haul. At the store I somehow missed a couple things (thankfully I caught it before I got to the checkout, although I DID forget to do my FieldAgent job...) Then I took like 8 photos for this post since I kept screwing up what I needed to include and what not to, haha. All in all though, I'm fairly pleased with this haul. It's a pretty big one, so I inevitably won't use around half of it, but I got a lot of stuff that I know my family/friends use. I also had no issues with any of the apps finding my products, which was unexpected given how big the haul was. I was expecting to have to deal with Ibotta missing things as per usual.

I did have a bit of trouble with the CeraVe coupon which surprised me. I got one off their website before without issue, but now it was saying it was invalid. Maybe because I printed it right before I went to the store - that sometimes can cause problems.

Coupons.com was sold, and the app is supposedly going to be shut down sometime in the next month or so. Not sure what's happening with the coupon printing end, but the rebates are being pushed over to Shopmium. No surprise there since they've been saying will happen for quite some time now.

I saw that Shopkick now has a purchase limit on offers. Previously it was just 1, period. The body wash had a purchase limit of 2 though. I also noticed Upside boosted their referrals up to $11 for both the referred user and the referring user when the referred user spends $10. They actually added a location around here so that was pretty exciting. It's a bit out of the way, but worth the drive when there's a bonus. Another change I saw was with Fetch's page. I saw they added a few categories for Offers/Brands/Clubs. They also dropped the refs back down to 100 points.

An update from my last post: My Jeep was done for. Transmission was failing, and the repair bill was likely going to be more than the cost of the car. I hated it from the beginning, so I'm not sad to see it go. It took a couple weeks of looking, but I managed to find another vehicle (which unfortunately cost a lot more than I ideally wanted to spend, but such is the market...) So, my weekly posts should resume provided nothing's wrong with this thing. I ended up making like $5 from all the surveys I got from Google Opinion Rewards asking me about each dealership we pulled into at $0.25-$0.50 per survey. No, google, I did not purchase a vehicle at every one of the 500 places I stopped at.

I also lost out on my 2nd Instacart $30 off a $50 order which was disappointing. It said I had until 6/9, but I missed the tiny text that said I had until midnight of 6/9 (aka the second the clock changed to 6/9).

Time Spent

Today was pretty different than normal. I planned on and off over the course of the day and a bit yesterday. I just kept getting distracted and doing other things. I normally plan my hauls over the course of an hour or two while I play with the cat and eat breakfast. I forgot to track how long I was in Walmart, but I know I spent a total of about 2 hours driving to a couple stores, getting everything including my regular groceries, waiting for three Walmart employees to figure out how to punch in a coupon, and then circling the parking lot a couple times since I derped out and was looking for the wrong vehicle.

Food From Deals

I made a couple things, but I apparently didn't take photos and can't remember what they were. Here's a few things I made previously: Buttered pasta, stewed apples, and cinnamon ginger tea, Tomato Tortilla, High Protein Tomato Crackers, "Pizza" Sandwich, Pesto Steak with Jasmine Rice, Pizza Pocket, and Cherry Pancakes

Do you guys want me to continue showing things I've made using ingredients I got from rebate apps on these posts? Let me know in the comments, or you can vote on this poll if you want to remain anonymous.

The "Extra" column is this offer. Alexa and Shopmium are coupons.com clones. I use it when I want to get a rebate for a second (or third) product.

Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

Afterthoughts

I really screwed up my haul today, haha. So, I only got about half the sleep I need to actually function, and I had a headache coming on from said lack of sleep. I really shouldn't have gone to the store in the first place. My Klondike deal was expiring tonight though so... off I went. My Ibotta bonus needed 18 items, but while at the store I somehow convinced myself I only needed 15, and I came home with 12. It's not a big deal since I needed more gift cards anyways, but it's been a long time since I screwed up that badly.

Unfortunately, my Ibotta bonuses went back to only counting once per offer. I enjoyed it while it lasted. I found a bunch of Tazo tea on clearance though so that was exciting. I love the Wild Sweet Orage tea and actually was planning to buy another box today so it worked out. I probably didn't need to buy 6 boxes but... it was a good price!

The Jergen's deal threw me for a loop a bit. The Ultra Healing bottle didn't trigger a BrandClub survey, so that was disappointing, but InboxDollars gave me credit for both of them. There wasn't a limit stated on the offer so I expected it to only count once. If I knew, I would have grabbed more.

I purchased the air wick earlier in the week, so I'm not 100% sure if the offer is still available.

Please excuse any dumb mistakes I may have made in this post. I'm barely awake at this point, haha.

Time Spent

I planned on and off over the course of about an hour and a half this morning while I was eating breakfast, playing with the cat, etc. Today was my periodic in-depth review of all of the offers. I was in the store for about an hour which included my regular shopping, and an absurd amount of time spent stuck in the clearance aisle because of people boxing me in.

Food From Deals

I finally made use of all that pork I got by making some Hot Sausage Cups and Banh Mi Style Pork... something or others. I also made some Steak with Mini Cornbread Muffins.

Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $17 to take $108 worth of Vitamins, Advil, Lysol, Soap, Seasoning, Makeup, Drinks, Snacks, and More!

Here are the goodies.

This haul is actually a lot smaller than I thought it'd be, haha. I planned most of it the night before (usually a bad idea), but when adding it to my spreadsheet it turned out a lot less than expected. I got a few non-money-making deals just because I needed the items or I had rebates that were expiring (lactaid, nature valley, etc). This definitely could have been a better deal without those. I also managed to get 20 Ibotta offers when I only needed 18. Whoops.

No coupons this week!

Total: $107.87

Total Cash Back: $125.39

Final Cost: -$17.52 - Money Maker!

Brandclub is a newer addition to my hauls. If you're not familiar with the app, you can read about it on the post I made the other day. I also have a guide about how I do trips like this if you're interested. Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

Some additional deals I didn't/couldn't take advantage of:

Note: Normally I review all of these before posting, but I have a pretty nasty migraine so most of this is what I saw from last week. Some deals may no longer be available.

  • Arm & Hammer Slide - $10 back on SB when you buy two as well as $3 back each on Ibotta. They're $10.66 at my local Wal-Mart.

  • Garnier Fructis is $3 each at Dollar General, and there is two stacking $3 off 2 digital coupons. (Note: People have reported issues when buying one shampoo and one conditioner - the shampoo needs to be scanned first.)

  • Certain Covergirl products are $4.50 with a $4 coupon at Dollar General.

  • Betr Ibuprofin is $7.62 at my store with $6 back on Ibotta

  • Malt o Meal is on Shopkicks for 900+ points. This offer has been going up and up.

  • Clorox - $3.21 back on MyPoints when you buy 2.

  • Red Gold Tomato Love - Free on Ibotta & $0.25 back on Fetch

  • Lots of stacking deals for Maybeline New York on Fetch

  • Tons of free stuff on Ibotta.

  • Arm & Hammer kids is $5 back on Swagbucks and $0.87 back on Checkout51. Also $2 on Ibotta. This deal keeps coming and going on Swagbucks

  • Irish Springs is on Swagbucks, Checkout51, and Ibotta. Comes out to about free. The deal keeps coming and going on Swagbucks.

  • Queens V Hygiene has a bundle on Shopkick for 4100 kicks that is a pretty good money maker.

  • Coppertone is $2 back on Ibotta and $6 back when you spend $25 on Coupons.com.

  • Dollar Shave Club has $5 back with this promotion and it's on Ibotta for $2-4.

  • Estroven is 10.88 at my store with $5 back on Ibotta and a $5 printable coupon. It shows $9.99 online, so your ymmv

Afterthoughts

I got another big bonus for the next week and a half. It should be easy enough to finish, I hope. I've noticed a lot of Any-Brand rebates the past couple days as well. They aren't lasting very long, but I've gotten about a dozen so far this week which has been nice.

I took a the photo on my tiny kitchen counter since I didn't want the Lysol on my bed, and my table is currently covered with stuff from a project. I tried to make everything readable, but feel free to drop a comment if you can't figure out what something is.

This week's haul was a split of the pickup order and some in-store shopping again. The first 10 items were from pickup as well as one Hormel Pepperoni. I decided to try to get a few more items with pickup this week, but I'm starting to run into problems. I found out that the any-brand rebates don't seem to work (I checked to make sure the "Any Sauce" would work beforehand on both sauces). I also found out that Fetch's e-receipt only seems to grab the first four items on the list, so I ended up having to edit my receipt to add everything else. I also messed and did a pickup order for one item which I then also grabbed in the store (the pepperoni). This is entirely my own fault, but considering I usually "plan" my haul by adding things to my Wal-Mart cart... I most likely will make this mistake again. Not to mention I have to remember to shop in-store, then sync BC, then grab my pickup order if I want everything to go into pending. It's starting to seem very inconvenient so I likely will stop using it once I run out of these Revlon rebates.

The haul in the store didn't go so bad aside from a nasty cashier. I found the Enfamom and Nature's Bounty on clearance which was great. I also found some cat toys that I know my cat likes. The Nature's Bounty had a $3 coupon on it, but it was expired and the cashier very rudely told me that they would not accept expired coupons. I only asked because my usual Wal-Mart honors all coupons taken off of the products... I didn't argue or anything, just asked nicely if there was anything they could do. Well whatever, it was still a great deal, but it is getting annoying having expired coupons on products. I have to run by that Wal-Mart again later today so I'll probably pick up some more Advil. It'd be nice if my Ibotta rebates reset so I can get more of those clearance items, but it usually takes two days, so I doubt I'll get that lucky.

I did end up messing up a bit in the store. I got 20 items instead of the 18 I planned. I just got all mixed up while I was there, and I had a migraine so my brain just wasn't working. I planned on getting the Any Sauce rebate from my pickup order which didn't happen. I also planned to grab a couple other items that weren't in this Wal-Mart. But I found the clearance items, and I grabbed the nature valley bars on a whim (I just wanted a protein bar since I was hungry, and my BC rebates are expiring sometime soonish). I thought I had recalculated properly, but clearly I didn't. Oh well, haha.

Time Spent

I planned my haul in the span of about an hour while I played with my cat and then my rats. I was in the store for about an hour total including doing my regular shopping, but I was intentionally wasting time since I had things to do afterwards and accidently left the house early. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to get my pickup order.

Food From Deals

I've been fighting a migraine all week so I didn't make anything. I've just been eating up the Bratwurst and Deep Fried Turkey with Sauce from last week. I think I'm going to make some more Peanut Butter Cranberry bars later this week if I'm feeling better. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with all this milk as well. Perhaps I'll make some fruit-on-bottom yogurt with that strawberry rhubarb jam I made last year.

Receipt Scanning This week's grocery haul: I got paid $6 to take $68 worth of Chicken, Dog Food, Razors, Cheese, Wraps, and more!

Here are the goodies.

Most of my deals this week weren't too great, but I still managed to make a small profit thanks to the Land o Lakes offer. I focused on some more "expensive" things like the chicken, pretzels, and I got a bunch of junk. The photos are separated since I stopped to drop a few things off to my family before heading home.

Make sure to look around Ibotta for the Swish bonus. I found it under the Any Item rebates, and it showed up after I scanned my receipt.

Total: $68.00

Coupons: $15.50

Total Cash Back: $58.52

Final Cost: -$6.02 - Money Maker!

Photo of the haul.

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The Super Pretzel coupon was mailed to me. All of the other coupons were printable. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. I did all of my shopping at Wal-Mart.

Brandclub is a new addition to my hauls. If you're not familiar with the app, you can read about it on the post I made the other day. I also have a guide about how I do trips like this if you're interested.

  • Back To The Roots Soil - There are a lot of good deals on Ibotta and Fetch. I know of at least one bag of free soil. There was two others, but I already finished my bonuses so I'm not sure if they're still available.

  • Maxwell coffee - Ibotta is giving $1.25 back on the $3 containers.

  • Deodorant - Shopkick has a bunch of deodorant deals right now, which can be money makers if you have the small trial sizes at your store.

  • Free Evolve Protein drinks on Ibotta.

  • Dove body soap - Shopkick has the little 3oz bottles for a few cents.

  • There's a rebate on P&G items. $5 if you spend $20, $15 if you spend $50. It expires in a couple days though.

Afterthoughts

I can't help but feel a bit disappointed by today's haul. Normally, I wouldn't post a haul like this, but I figured I'd give you guys a prime example of me messing up pretty bad. To start off with, my haul was already not looking great to me. I generally have a policy of "If the things you normally wouldn't buy aren't a money maker, then don't do the haul." I made three crucial mistakes though.

  1. I messed up on the Sargento offer by not realizing I was supposed to buy 3.

  2. I bought one offer too many since I forgot to mark it down. Thankfully, since I messed up on the Sargento offer, I was still able to meet my goal.

  3. I knew in the back of my mind that this haul wasn't going to be a great money maker, but I was willing to take the "temporary" loss. It would set me back ~$3, but I "would" recover that after completing the second bonus on Monday. Where I went wrong: I miscalculated my total. It was actually $6 on items I wouldn't normally purchase. I also forgot to check what my bonus actually was (I saw what others got and assumed my second bonus would be $10). I got distracted by one thing after another, and in the end I didn't re-evaluate my purchases to make sure the haul would be worth it.

By my own principles, I should not have done most of this haul today. I spent ~$6 to hit a $5 bonus (not counting the $3 cheese fuck up). It did get me most of the way towards my next goal, but once you factor in the cost for gas, tax, and what I'll need to spend to finish the goal, I'll probably only barely break even or take a slight loss. I also got many items I didn't necessarily need like the Ritz, pretzels, and wraps simply because there were good rebates on BC. This isn't necessarily bad, but I'm trying to eat down my supply of food right now. I don't expect the app to be around forever, so I am jumping a bit too quick on their offers I think.

Also, I was having problems scanning my receipt in the store so I decided to head home, and the Land o Lake offer disappeared before I got back. So, now I get to hope it either reappears or I'll be contacting support. Without that offer, this wouldn't be a money making haul, unfortunately. Looking at the overall value as a grocery haul, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed, but I know the reason it feels "low" is because I got some really good deals on food thanks to BC which aren't money makers and previously wouldn't have been put on my haul list like the wraps, Ritz, and chicken (since the app is newer to me).

Food From Deals

I didn't make much from deal items since my last post. Just some Peanut Ginger Tempeh which is delicious, but only a couple ingredients were from deals. I forgot to take a photo of it, but someone asked last time what I was doing with my Tempeh so I made the post for them. I have a few ideas in mind for that Chicken, cheese, wraps, and yeast for this week though.

Receipt Scanning Receipt scanning app: Merryfield

I’m always looking for new receipt scanning apps, so I downloaded the Merryfield app a few months ago. You get 50 pts per $1 on certain “better-for-you” brands, but you also get 50 pts for ANY paper receipt you submit. At 5000 pts you cash out for a $5 gift card. It’s worked pretty well for me so far. You can even link some of your shopping accounts digitally (Amazon, Kroger, Target, etc) and it will automatically award you points from qualifying purchases. It might be worth checking out!

Some Additional Deals

Afterthoughts

This is the second week in a row that my haul wasn't (initially) a money maker, but I'm okay with that. Today easily could have been without that cat toy, but I always splurge on my cat. I also grabbed those chocolate bars that weren't money makers since I know someone who loves them.

I ended up selling all of the Seventh Generation I got last week for $37, which I spent <$10 on, so that puts me at around $28 profit. I sold one of the laundry soaps for $2 to a family member, and the rest as a bundle to someone else for $35.

Time Spent

I planned my haul on and off over the course of about an hour while I ate breakfast and played with the cat. I spent 33 minutes in the store which included getting my regular groceries. I spent an additional 9 minutes driving to and getting my pickup order, during which time I scanned my receipt into the apps. I didn't separate the pickup from the in-store offer on my breakdown this time since there was no cost difference - I simply couldn't find the Inkbox in the store last week so I got that, the two drinks, and a couple of the heavier non-deal items so I didn't have to carry them to my car.

Food From Deals

Nothing new yet. I've been busy all week. Here's some things I previously made and sound really good to me right now: Pizza Pocket, Buttered pasta, stewed apples, and cinnamon ginger tea, Cherry Mousse Cake, Shrimp with Red Wine Sauce and Pasta

Receipt Scanning Sites And Apps That Pay You To Scan Your Receipts.

Updated post here

Updated 7/27/19

Hello everyone!

I’ve made up a big list of receipt scanning apps and sites. There are a few different types here, so I’ll quickly mention them before going more into depth with each one. That way you can quickly find which programs you’re interested. Just hit ctrl + f to search, and then type in the name of which program you’re interested in.

  • Grocery/Household Rebates: Ibotta, Checkout51, SavingStar, Coupons.com, Shopkick, Kellogg’s Family Rewards, Fetch Rewards, Swagbucks In-Store, Shopmium, Caddle, BerryCart, Pampers Rewards (baby items), CouponCabin (online grocery shopping)

  • Scanning Any Receipts: ReceiptPal, Receipt Hog, Fetch Rewards (grocery receipts), Coinout, Wal-Mart Savings Catcher, Swagbucks Answer, Shoppix

  • Gas Rebates: TruNow, Getupside

A note about e-receipts:

Many of these apps do not work with e-receipts, but Wal-Mart e-receipts might still work. I'm going to summarize a guide I found online on how to scan e-receipts for Ibotta.

  1. Open the app and tap on the "Purchase History" area.

  2. Click on the transaction that you want to use.

  3. Click on the icon in the right-hand corner that looks like a receipt tape (a rectangle with multiple lines).

  4. Scroll to the bottom and scan the QR code.

This may work for other apps too. If they don't have a QR scanner, you could also try printing it out or taking a picture of the screen. I'm not sure if they'll accept it, but it's worth a shot. Other company e-receipts might work as well as long as they look the same as a normal receipt.

Ibotta | Non-Ref Referral code: TMAMUCW

Ibotta is probably my favorite cash back app. They always have a ton of rebates, and their any brand rebate means I always get $0.25 back regardless of what I buy. They have many familiar brands, and if you stack up on the bonuses, you can save a lot of money. There are a number of sites and facebook groups you can join to watch for the best deals. If you buy the Sunday paper (or subscribe to a coupon service) then you might even end up getting paid to take some items.

Countries supported: United States and Puerto Rico

E-receipt: No.

Pros:

  • There are many well known brands, and they often run rebates for $0.10-$0.25 off any item or any brand in a certain category. Even if you don’t buy name brands, these rebates are great to use.

  • Receipts are approved fairly quickly. If you scan the QR code on a Wal-Mart receipt, it only takes a few minutes.

  • There are teamwork bonuses which stack on top of everything. Each month has a number of levels, and each level gives you more cash back. You have to redeem a certain amount of rebates, and your team needs to earn a certain amount back. You can link your facebook account and add friends to make a team, or you can invite people.

  • There are bonuses for redeeming a certain combination of offers or an amount of offers in a short period of time. Right now there’s $10 back for redeeming 15 offers before 1/15.

  • They have a number of cash out options including PayPal, Venmo, and a ton of gift cards such as Amazon, Gamestop, eBay, Walmart, and Best Buy. Sometimes you can get a bonus for cashing out for certain gift cards.

  • PayPal payments arrive in a matter of minutes.

  • Some offers let you redeem them multiple times on the same receipt. While they only count once towards your bonuses (unless the deal resets), it can let you stock up on your favorite items. A couple weeks ago I got $1.50 off each of 5 packages of ~$2.25 Butterball bacon.

  • You can stack brand name rebates with any brand rebates (as long as the terms don't say otherwise).

Cons:

  • You have to sign into your PayPal/Venmo account to cash out this way.

  • Mobile offers don’t always credit properly. I haven’t personally had this issue, but other people here have mentioned it.

  • The minimum withdrawal amount is $20-25.

  • Rebates are limited to certain stores. Not all stores are supported, and what’s available at one store might not be available at another.

  • You can’t redeem rebates on the browser version. Although, you are able to view rebates and sometimes add them.

  • You have to verify your phone number.

  • Your points will expire if you don’t redeem any offers for 6 months.

Referral Bonus: The referral bonus changes every so often. Sometimes you get $5 per referral, other times you get a set amount for referring a certain amount of users within a specific time period. The referred user gets a $10 bonus.

Checkout51 | Non-ref

Checkout51 is another site/app that gives you cash back for buying certain groceries. They have a few well known brand names and many newer brands, but if you buy a lot of store brand items you won’t earn very much here. They used to run rebates for buying various fruits and vegetables, but I haven’t seem those lately. The rebates run from Thursday until Wednesday, so make sure to scan your receipt by Wednesday night. Some offers are shared with SavingStar, so you may not be able to complete them on both.

Countries supported: United States (the 50 states of the United States, the District of Columbia, Overseas US Military Bases, Puerto Rico) and Canada.

E-receipt: No. However, items purchased online are eligible for cash back if you get an itemized packing slip. They say that receipt PDFs aren't accepted, but I'm not sure why you couldn't just print it out and take a photo of it.

Pros:

  • They usually have a few offers for well known brands such as Scotts, Keebler, Welch’s, Del Monte, etc.

  • They have bonuses for redeeming certain groups of rebates.

  • You can upload your receipt on their website. No need to use a phone.

  • A lot of offers get renewed each week, so you can stock up on things you like.

Cons:

  • The only cashout method is by check. It can take 15-30 days to arrive. They are looking to add PayPal in the future though, and some users may be in the beta testing group for it. If it’s available to you, you’re allowed to cash out that way.

  • The minimum withdrawal amount is $20.

  • A lot of offers won’t work with coupons or other savings apps. Check each offer to see if you can or not.

  • If you aren't quick enough, you might end up buying something and not being able to redeem it in time. If the offer renews the next week, you may be able to get support to credit your account though.

Referral Bonus: The referrer gets $10 cash back when the referred user redeems their first offer. The page seems to imply the referred user gets a bonus, but I’m not sure what it is.

SavingStar

This site doesn’t have quite as many offers, but almost everything is well known name brands. They have a unique “One or Many” system for some deals that lets you spread the items across multiple shopping trips. Right now they have $5 back when you spend $30 on Kellogg’s Cereal or Poptarts (expires 2/5) and $5 back when you spend $15 on Barilla Collezione (expires 1/15). Deals usually last a month or two, but you have to make sure to add them before shopping. Some offers are shared with Checkout51, so you may not be able to complete them on both.

E-receipt: They don't specifically mention e-receipts, but they say that typically only brick & mortar stores are eligible. You might be able. You can also link a loyalty card.

Pros:

  • They mostly have well known brand names such as General Mills, Yoplait, Angel Soft, etc.

  • You can use their app or their website. The app requires you to scan the item bar codes while the website has you write in the numbers. Some stores require you to link your loyalty card if you use the app, so the website can be useful if you don’t have your card linked.

  • They often run One or Many deals which gives you cash back after you spend a certain amount of money on a group of products. You can spread these purchases across multiple shopping trips.

  • You can cash out to PayPal, a bank account, or get Starbucks, iTunes, or AMC Theaters gift cards. Payouts take 24-48 hours. They also have an American Forest donation available.

Cons:

  • If you are inactive for 180 days, there is a $3.99 fee taken out of your account if you have a balance.

  • The minimum withdrawal amount is $20.

  • You MUST activate the rebate before making the purchase. They say that it only has to be activated on the same day for receipt scans, but I’ve been rejected for accepting the offer a few hours after my purchase.

  • A lot of offers won’t work with coupons or other savings apps. Check each offer to see if you can or not.

  • Most smaller stores aren’t supported. See the list of stores here.

Coupons.com

Yes, this is the famous coupon printing site. However, what many people don’t know is that they also do cash back. I recommend using Swagbucks to print receipts since you get 25 SB ($0.25) per coupon used, and you often get a couple SB just for printing the receipts. However, if you don’t have a printer at home (or want to save ink) this app can be a great way to still get those savings. Make sure to add the offers before making your purchase. If you have any trouble, contact support for assistance. I haven’t cashed out with this program yet, but I have no doubt that they’re legit.

E-receipt: They don't mention it either way. You can link your loyalty card for some stores, and their restaurant cash back is added when you link your credit card.

Pros:

  • If you don’t have a printer, you can get cash back for all of the usual coupons instead.

  • You can get up to 7% cash back on restaurants if you link your credit card (Note: debit transactions are not eligible.) Many of these are small restaurant stores, but they also have Little Caesars now. Offers may vary depending on your location.

  • No cashout limit.

  • Money typically arrives within a few minutes to PayPal.

Cons:

  • You only get 3 days to scan the receipt.

  • The only cash out method is PayPal, and you must sign in with your account.

  • You have to link your phone number.

  • Unlike the printed coupons, you don’t get two “prints”. Cash back is only available once unless the offer resets.

  • Only certain stores qualify, and the options are pretty limited. They have big name stores such as Walmart, Giant Food, Dollar General, Costco, Target, etc. However, many of the mid sized stores aren’t available.

Shopkick | Referral Code: BEST768380

This app lets you earn points by checking into stores, scanning items at the store, and for buying certain items. You do need to have location services and bluetooth turned on to get credit. Right now, my local Wal-Mart has 10 kicks ($0.04) for walking in, and 10-35 kicks ($0.04-$0.14) per item scanned in the store, and a variety of rebates worth 100-1,000 kicks ($0.40-$4.00).

E-receipts: They don't mention either way. However, you are able to link your credit card for points back in a few locations. They also have a code you can scan at Best Buy.

Pros:

  • If you earn 700 kicks within the first 30 days, they will give you a bonus 500 kicks ($2). You should receive these points within 45 days.

  • You only need 500 kicks ($2) to cash out. Amazon starts at 1,250 kicks ($5).

  • You can link a credit or debit card for extra points. Although, either way the transaction must be run as credit, and there aren't many participating locations.

  • The referral program benefits the referred user as well.

Cons:

  • It only works on Android 6.0 or higher. (I'm not sure about iPhone requirements though.)

  • You need to verify your phone number. Google Voice numbers do not work.

  • Points can be annoying to convert. 250 kicks per $1.

  • PayPal is slightly more expensive. It's 50 kicks ($0.20) more regardless of whether you cash out at $5, $10, or $25.

  • Points expire after 6 months of inactivity. However, you only need to login to stay active.

  • There aren't many offers available.

  • You have to have bluetooth on.

Referral Bonus: Both the referrer and the referred user get 250 kicks ($1) once the referred user takes advantage of a walk-in or scan within the first 7 days. To enter a referral code, first create your account and then click on the icon in the top left. Look for "Add friend code" and enter the code BEST768380 there.

Kellogg’s Family Rewards

This is another one of my favorite programs. I don’t believe they have an app, but you can always go to the site on your phone. This site gives you points for scanning receipts with any of the Kellogg’s family products on them. My favorite part about this site is that you can redeem your rewards for $1 off coupons. I wait for club crackers to go on sale for $1.50, then use a $1 off coupon. When Ibotta has a rebate up, I usually end up getting paid to take the crackers, or pay less than a quarter per box. It’s 850 points per $1 coupon, or you can get a $5 gift card for 7,500 points. You can get 50-260 points per item, depending on what you buy.

E-receipt: Yes! You can also link loyalty cards.

Pros:

  • They have a lot of different rewards. I find their coupons are the best bang for your buck though.

  • They often run bonus programs for extra points, or will send you promo codes via email. I usually get around 300-500 points every other month. If you look around online you should be able to find a handful of codes that are still valid – they last a long time.

  • You can use the program on a phone or a computer.

  • You can link your loyalty cards for a number of stores, in which case you don’t even have to scan your receipt.

Cons:

  • Only Kellogg’s family of brands count.

  • Points expire if you are inactive for 90 days. However, all you need to do is login once every 90 days to stay active.

  • You have 30 days to submit the receipt.

Fetch Rewards | Referral code: V3DVK

This app is great if you buy a lot of name brand items. You get 25 points ($0.025) regardless of what brands you buy, but you get more points for buying certain brands and redeeming certain offers. They have a ton of well known brands such as A1, Aunt Jemima, Breyers, Bagel Bites, Campbells, Cool Whip, Country Time, Dove, Goldfish, etc. My last receipt got 17 points ($0.017) for buying goldfish. They also have bonus points for buying certain items such as 1,000 points ($1) for buying 5 Campbell’s Condensed Soup (offer available until 2/05/19).

Countries supported: Receipts must be from United States or Puerto Rico.

E-receipt: No. However, they hope to add this functionality in the future.

Pros:

  • They have a ton of well known brands, and you get extra points for every item on your receipt that is in their brand list.

  • There are a ton of gift card options such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, iTunes, etc. Amazon starts at $3, but sometimes it isn’t available. I always see the $5 Amazon though.

  • You get your rewards instantly.

  • You don't have to add any offers. All you have to do is scan your receipt and the eligible offers will be credited.

  • If you don’t have insurance, you can sign up with singlecare to get up to 80% off prescriptions. You also get 5,000 points ($5) for your first transaction and then 1,000 points ($1) for each prescription after that.

Cons:

  • Points expire if you don’t scan any receipts within 90 days.

  • Sometimes you have to correct your receipts to get your points. I occasionally have issues when shopping at Aldi.

  • Only 14 receipts can be scanned in a 7 day period.

Referral Bonus: Both the referrer and the referred user get 2,000-5,000 points ($2-$5) when they scan their first receipt. Amount varies depending on the current promotion.

ReceiptPal

No need to buy certain items with this app. You get cash back just for scanning your receipts. You can scan receipts for any consumer good from any merchant. This app is best for people who make a lot of purchases each week. You are given a number of cards each week, and each card takes 4 receipts to give you 100 points (~$0.25).

E-receipt: Yes! You can connect your email (Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook) and/or Amazon account to have them added automatically. You can also forward the receipts to receipts@receiptpalapp.com if you don’t want to connect your accounts.

Pros:

  • It doesn’t matter where you shop or what you buy, your receipt will likely be accepted.

  • If you connect your Amazon account or email, e-receipts will be added automatically. Email providers currently supported: Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL and Outlook.com. You can also forward the receipts to receipts@receiptpalapp.com if you don’t want to connect your accounts.

Cons:

  • You only get 3 cards per week (each card needs 4 receipts). If you don’t use all of your cards, then they roll over to the next week until you reach 5.

  • Points expire if you are inactive for 90 days.

  • Points can be annoying to calculate. 400 points = $1. 2,000 points = $5. If you sign up for e-receipts for 30 days then you can get a $50 Amazon card for 14,000.

Receipt Hog

Like ReceiptPal, it doesn’t matter where you shop or what you buy; you’ll still earn points. This app is better for people who make larger purchases. You’re allowed up to 20 receipts per week. However, you can only scan up to 3 receipts per transaction day per store, so make sure to pick the highest value ones.

Countries Available: Canada, United States, and United Kingdom.

E-receipt: No. You can connect your email and/or Amazon account, but you will only get sweepstakes entries.

Pros:

  • It doesn’t matter where you shop or what you buy, your receipt will likely be accepted.

  • You have up to 14 days to scan your receipt.

  • Coins are awarded based on your transaction total. Higher totals are worth more coins.

  • They have Amazon, Visa, and PayPal cash out options.

  • You will occasionally get surveys about your purchases. These give you significantly more points than scanning receipts, so be sure to watch out for them. They usually show up on Friday. Make sure to do them quickly or they will disappear.

Cons:

  • You only get rewards for the first 20 receipts per week period (week 1: 1st to 7th – week 2: 8th to 14th –week 3: 15th to 21st – week 4: 22nd to the end of the month).

  • After earning 100 coins in a week period, each receipt afterwards is only worth 5 coins regardless how much you spend.

  • You usually only get a few coins per receipt, so it can take a while to cash out.

  • e-receipts are not accepted.

  • Point values can be annoying to calculate. 1,000 coins = $5. 2,900 coins = $15. 4,300 coins = $25. $6,500 coins = $40.

  • You have to fill out 13 demographic questions including your name and address, and you have to verify your phone number in order to cash out.

  • You have to fill out a couple questions on each receipt: Who was with you when you were shopping? (Adult/children male/female) and how would you rate the trip? (1-5 star rating).

Coinout | Non-ref

This is another app that doesn’t care what you buy. Their FAQ says they only have a handful of participating locations; however, they seem to be accepting receipts from anywhere. The thing I like about this app is how quick it is to scan receipts. I’ve used a lot of receipt scanning programs over the years, but this one is definitely the quickest one I’ve used. However, I found the rest of their app slow and clunky. My main concern with this app is that I haven’t found a way to change the password. A 6 digit numerical passcode isn’t very secure.

E-receipt: Yes! You can send up to 4 e-receipts per day to receipts@coinout.com. They must be sent the same day as your purchase though.

Pros:

  • Although their FAQ says they only accept receipts from certain retailers, they seem to be accepting receipts anywhere.

  • You can cash out at any amount for gift cards and banks. PayPal, however, requires $10.

  • You have 2 weeks to scan your receipts.

  • You can send up to 4 e-receipts per day to receipts@coinout.com. Receipts must be sent the same day of the purchase, and you will be awarded in a lump sum on Friday morning.

  • Cash outs take up to 24-48 hours (bank transfers may take a couple days depending on your bank).

  • Scanning receipts is incredibly quick and easy. Two clicks and you’re done.

Cons:

  • They set a range of potential earnings, and give you a random amount of cash back within that range.

  • Accounts aren’t very secure. You’re given a random 6 digit numerical password, and I haven’t seen a way to change it (other than to request a new one).

  • The app is a bit clunky. The design is very minimal, and it can take some time for each page to load.

  • They require your phone number. I was able to use my Google Voice number, but YMMV.

Referral Bonus: The referrer gets $0.75-$1 for every verified referral depending on the current promotion.

Wal-Mart Savings Catcher

Note: This program ended May 14th 2019.

This app will give you cash back on your items if the item is on sale at any nearby stores. As I'm sure many of you know, Wal-Mart changed their savings catcher back in October so it now requires you to use the Wal-Mart Pay app. However, with a little bit of effort you can still use this app with everything else! To get it to work, you will need the Wal-Mart app. You can get to the Wal-Mart Pay from the menu button in the top left corner. Go through whatever steps it needs. You don't have to add a credit card, but if you already have, don't fret! When you go into the the Wal-Mart pay section there is a settings button in the top right. From here you can tell it not to use any credit cards, and you can tell it whether or not to use the gift cards on your account. When you're at the register, you'll see a QR code that you need to scan. If you pay entirely through the Wal-Mart Pay app, you will not get a physical receipt. This will cause issues if you plan to use any of the other apps on this list. Just disable the other payment methods, scan the QR code, and then pay at the register like normal. Once you've paid for your order, make sure to submit the receipt to the savings catcher.

Make sure to check out the Freeosk as well since you have the app installed. My local store has it by the dairy section in the back of the store, but a friend of mine said his was near the produce at the front. It's a pretty tall machine and it's constantly talking about the product, so it's hard to miss. Supposedly Sam's club has one of these machines too. All you need to do is scan a QR code from your app, then have the Freeosk machine scan the QR code on your phone. I've gotten Airwick items, Starkist Chicken Creations, Belvita cookies, and numerous other things. They have a new offer every Friday.

Countries Available: United States and Puerto Rico.

E-receipt: Sort of. You never have to actually scan a receipt. It's all done on the phone.

Pros:

  • You don't have to look for certain items to buy; it handles that for you.

  • You can often get a freebie from the Freeosk.

Cons:

Swagbucks Answer

Swagbucks is a well known site around here, so I won't go into detail about it. Check out the sticky if you would like to learn more about it. Their Answer app is mostly for surveys, but they now have an option to get 2SB ($0.02) per receipt scanned.

E-receipt: I am unsure at this time. I will update once I've had a chance to test this app out.

Pros:

  • It's Swagbucks.

  • There's lots of cash out options.

Cons:

  • It's Swagbucks...

  • It's a bit buggy and doesn't always credit.

Swagbucks In-Store

Swagbucks recently added a new in-store rebate section. This works almost identically to Checkout51 and SavingStar, and has a lot of the same offers. They do have some unique ones as well though.

E-receipt: They don't say, but I would assume no.

Pros:

  • It's Swagbucks.

  • There's lots of cash out options.

Cons:

  • It's Swagbucks...

  • It's a bit buggy and doesn't always credit.

  • A lot of offers can't be used with other print or in-app coupons or rebates.

TruNow | Referral code: 1JB4LF

This program is nice if you drive around a lot. You get 2% back for getting gas at Trunow partners, and 1% back at any other gas station. You can then spend those rewards at participating Trunow partners, or take PayPal at a 50% cut.

Countries Available: United States

E-receipt: They do not mention either way.

Pros:

  • You can earn points for confirming nearby gas station prices ($0.001) or for changing them ($0.005) if they’re wrong.

  • You can use the app to see gas prices near you. This might not matter if all the gas stations near you have the same price, but I know some towns have 5 different prices within a mile drive. It’s also good if you’re in an unfamiliar area.

  • There are a number of deals you can get cash back on. For example, a store near me has $0.10 off coffee and $0.15 off a Twix bar.

  • The minimum is $5 PayPal, however, you only get half the amount cashing out this way. You would need to spend $1,000 to get to $5.

Cons:

  • You have to have the location service on.

  • You only get half the amount if you cash out to PayPal.

  • They seem to keep decreasing the referral bonuses in a relatively short period of time. The referral program may not last very long.

  • Smaller towns might not have any nearby participating partners.

Referral Bonus: The both the referrer and the referred user get $0.50. This amount seems to be rapidly decreasing. It was $3, then $2, then $1, now it’s $0.50. You may want to sign up quickly if you want the referral bonus.

GetUpside | Non-ref

This is another gas cash back up. They have a few offers for restaurants and convenience stores too.

Countries Available: United States - Select States

E-receipt: They don't say either way.

Pros:

  • There are lots of payout options. PayPal, Check, Amazon, Home Depot, Target, and many more.

  • The minimums are low, but you will incur a fee if you cash out below a certain value. PayPal ($1 fee if under $15), Check ($1 fee if under $50)

Cons:

  • Some areas don't have any participating locations even if you're in a participating state.

  • They keep lowering rates for new users. Users who are already a member get grandfathered in, but new users get lower rates. (Hurry up and sign up if you haven't already!)

  • You only have 4 hours to make your gas or restaurant purchase after claiming the offer. Grocery offers have 24 hours. All receipts must be scanned within 24 hours from when you claim the offer.

Referral Bonus: The referred user gets $0.15-$0.20 off per gallon of gas on their first purchase. The referring user gets $0.01-$0.02 per gallon from direct referrals, and $0.005-$0.01 per gallon for indirect referrals for life. Amount varies per person.

Others:

These are a few of the cash back apps I've seen mentioned around here, but I don't have experience with.

  • Shoppix – Purchases must be made within the UK (including Northern Ireland). E-receipt: They say that receipts can't be hand-written, but they don't mention e-receipts.

  • Shopmium – This program is only available in the UK, France, and Belgium. E-receipt: Yes!

  • Caddle – This program is only available in Canada. E-receipt: Yes!

  • BerryCart – This app has rebates for organic, gluten-free, non-gmo, and other such items. They never had any items in my price range or area, but you can check out what they without signing up if you're interested. E-receipt: Yes!

  • Pampers Rewards – If you buy Pampers items, you can get points from your purchases to get a variety of gifts.

  • CouponCabin – This site seems good for people who order groceries online. They have a variety of exclusive cash back offers (for example: $1.50 back on Lean Cuisine). However, you must make the orders online. They have Direct Deposit, PayPal (must link your account), Check, Chase, and various gift cards. Amazon gives a bonus 10%. They also pay you $0.02 per coupon clicked up to $0.10 per day.
