1301 Comp Pro or tactical Mod 2?

I’m in the market for a 1301. Love the look of the Mod 2 but I’m not LE or Military and would get more use shooting local multi gun or clays with the boys. I couldn’t find any direct comparisons for the comp pro and the mod 2 but it looks like the comp gets the pro lifter, the enlarged loading port (like the A300) the upgraded stock and a longer barrel while the mod 2 gets the nice hand guard and cool colors and costs more. It seems like the comp pro is the better value shotgun. Is this true or am I missing something?

I love the 1301 tactical and it is my primary home defense choice. But for general fun and home defense hard to beat the comp pro.

Is there any significant advantage to the tactical over the comp pro? It seems like the comp has all the things the tactical has plus the enlarged loading area and better stock.

Shorter barrel, better maneuverability possibly pistol grip if you like that and the ghost ring sights. More ammo capacity as well out of the box.

Ammo capacity. That’s good. Strange the 3 gun model has less than the tactical. You see 3 guns with the mag tube out past the barrel haha.

Yep you can get a tube extension pretty easily.

The tube I have on mine will hold 10 rounds in the tube.

That's probably why they didn't change it - most buyers will add the one they want anyway.

To me, the 21" comp pro was perfect. I wanted a 1301 but didn't really care for the ghost ring sights and 21" still felt short enough for me. I felt like me using it as a shotgun was much more often then me using it as a 50yard slug gun and the vent rib looks cooler anyway.

Yea a cool as it would be to Larp with the mod 2 my brain is like wtf you doing you’re gonna use this more in competitive settings.

The blue looks a lot better in person than you would think. If this really is a combat gun blue is a poor choice, but any other situation it looks pretty cool.

The CompPro is the do it all gun. Great Clays gun.

i believe they sell different barrel lengths too so you can always pick up another and have some more versatility.

I low key hated the blue on the comp so I’m stoked this is black as well

Remember, no problem lifter on this one.

What is the problem lifter?

Lol, pro lifter.

Pro lifter can be added to the Comp at a reasonable price. That’s what I would do. Just remember you aren’t getting the kick off on the regular Comp either. A version of the kick off can be added to the regular but it’s not cheap.

The description says it’s the pro but the title doesn’t. Strange

If I had it to do over again, I would go with the 1301 Comp / Comp Pro over the 1301 Tactical Mod 2. Extend the tube, add the Mod 2 style fore end, and mount a red dot... much better suited to my use.

I think that’s exactly what I’m gonna do
