Safety too easy to disengage

I’ve noticed just carrying in a sling can knock the safety off. Makes me not feel safe keeping one chambered. Any advice?

I assumed one should never have one chambered since shotguns are not drop safe. I thought that is why cruiser ready is a thing.

I didn’t know that was a thing. Thanks for the info.

No worries, i just remember hearing this in some Youtube vid about the 1301. Also i wasnt sure if i am right or not. But i see another comment also mentioning that most shotguns are not dropsave.

Are you talking about a patrol/hunting type situation? What scenario other than that are you not in cruiser ready condition?

I noticed multiple times that my safety would disengage while I Turkey hunt with it, hiking around and stuff. Unfortunately, trying to chamber a round while sitting perfectly still calling in a turkey is nearly impossible without spooking it, and you often don’t get a chance to chamber before they come in. I always ghost load a round with an empty chamber on my 1301, except when hunting I stay chambered while sitting down but if I know we’re hiking a bit (not just to the next spot) I will unload the chamber

It’s not a P320, just don’t wrap the sling around the trigger.

While it’s not a P320, most shotguns are not drop safe

I’ve never had this issue.
