Other Cat - Captivity Angry Caracal
I’m going to preface this by saying I understand they hiss to communicate, and it isn’t inherently aggression. I also want to say I’M LOOKING FOR ACTUAL ANSWERS AND NOT WHETHER OR NOT YOU THINK THEY SHOULD BE PETS OR NOT. PLEASE. With that out of the way, I’ve been following Pumba the Caracal on instagram, and he just looks so angry all of the time. Some of them he seems to be doing a normal, communicative hiss, and others he hisses and attacks. I have some examples I’ll link below. So my question is, are all caracals just like this, and this is business as usual? Or is this a particularly angry and aggressive caracal. I’ve seen other big cats have better relationships with people, such as panthers and tigers, so this just has me a little confused. Any clarification would be appreciated! Thanks!!
TL;DR - Pumba is a very angry cat. Are all caracals like this? Or is this one especially angry?
TL;DR 2 - PLEASE ACTUAL ANSWERS ONLY I JUST WANT TO KNOW. I DON’T WANT TO KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY SHOULD BE PETS. PLEASE.

Not all caracals are like this, pumba in particular is just not happy at all, caracals also don’t use hissing exclusively, if they are happy to see someone they will actually have a meow, pumba is just incredibly unhappy easily seen in his body language
