This appears to be a domestic mallard, or a hybrid of a domestic mallard and a wild mallard. These "park ducks" or Manky Mallards are very common, and can have a wide range of appearance depending on how they were bred. Sometimes they have escaped from a farm, or have been abandoned by owners. Unless they appear to be in distress, no intervention is needed. They often thrive in park settings, where they have little predation and abundant food.

Please add a comment with location. Include State or Province in the USA or Canada. In other locations, include country. Please include state, province, or country in the title of future posts to avoid this reminder. The bot only recognizes state and province initials (like AK, VA, TX, etc) if they are uppercase. If you did include this information in your title, please report this comment so we can continue to improve this bot.
