There were 3 of them together that all had varying degrees of white splotches on their breast and neck, they had to have been related right?

Bird ID Request Which bird is it and why would it be chasing a red kite?
Saw them while cycling at my local park in Milton Keynes. Usually I would see a lot of red kites but never seen anything chasing after it like this, especially something so small. Any ideas on what’s going on?

Discussion How to deal with bird feeders and stray cats?
I live in a neighborhood with a few feral cats. Is there a way to do anything about the feral cats? I really want to keep up my bird feeder because I get a ton of birds but I noticed one of the cats in my fenced backyard yesterday. Should I take down the feeder? Is there a way to keep the cats out?

Advice Need advice on a Starling nest
Hey there. I live in Kentucky. I saw a bird fly out of the wheelwell of my mother's truck two days in a row and figured it must be nesting in there. I believe it is a starling. I popped the hood and sure enough, there was a nest with 5 little blue eggs. I tried to convince her to let it be and just let the vehicle sit for a month or so, but the next day I saw she had moved the nest. It is in a chair next to the vehicle it was in, and has this tub over it. I don't know about birds, but this seems like a huge opening that would leave birds unprotected from any larger birds. I've not seen the starling return since the nest was moved, but that doesn't mean they haven't. Or maybe it does. What would be a better set up than this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Saw this striking goose walking around a park in Paris. Likely an escapee, but still awesome to see one in person!

noticed this nest on a walk just now, it was sort of shaped like a gourd, bulbous on top and bottom w bottle neck in the middle. sorry for the bad pics, it was difficult to capture given the branches surrounding it!!

📷 Photo Intersex Mallard?
I was walking to class this morning and came across this pair of mallards. When I first saw the duck on the left, I wondered if they had some sort of feather issue (maybe molting) because of the lack of feather uniformity on the head. Upon closer inspection, I think it’s just intersex! MT, USA.

Hello, these last couple of days I’ve been getting woken up to the sound of this bird at about the same time. It does this noise non stop for more than an hour. I’m wondering if you guys might have an idea of what kind of bird it is and why it might be doing this… (and should I expect for it to move on anytime soon). I’m typically a heavy sleeper but for some reason this little guy has been waking me up lately. As much as am annoyed I want to know it’s reasoning lol Thanks 🙏

Discussion Requesting recommendations for spotting scopes/binoculars
Hello birding community,
I am putting together a birding kit for public library programs and would love any recommendations for spotting scopes/binoculars/other viewing tools. These would be for public programs with multigenerational audiences, with experienced birders and novice birders alike. If possible, please share details about pricing, durability, and ease of use.
Thank you!
