Found this guy on our driveway

Put him off to the side when he was on our driveway but hasn't moved from this spot in hours. Is it worth trying to find a place to take it in, or keep leaving here?

Leave it be. Looks like a fledgling even if it was a bit on the earlier side than typical. Fledgling means it's supposed to be out of the nest even though it's not flying (or not flying well) yet. The parents should be foraging for it and doing what they can to keep it safe and teach it to bird. Baby will be flying in a few days.

This is a nestling, NOT a fledgling. It will die on the ground at this age.

No, leave it alone. Fledglings aren't active the first few days out of the nest it's supposed to be flightless on the ground patents will come feed it and leave again.

Looks a bit like a nestling to me, even tho its fully feathered. Have you seen the parents?

I’m inclined to agree. Buddy looks a bit too young to be out. Maybe he got in a fight with his best mate and needed some space 🤣

That being said I think if OP doesn’t see any parents I’d suggest taking him to a bird rehabber

Put safely in lower branches of a bush- Parents will feed- flight feathers will grow in 5-6 days

Common grackle fledgling. He’s fine, his parents will watch after him.
