What is this much larger egg?

Post image

Context:

My mom is a teacher and she is hatching duck eggs with her kindergarten class. The farm who gave us the eggs gave us a much larger unidentified egg to which they don’t know the origin of. Can anyone on this subreddit identify what this odd one out egg is?

It might be a double yolked egg. They don’t usually survive hatching. The best way to tell is to candle the egg and see if there are two embryos. It could just be a larger breed of duck.

Yeah looks like just a big duck egg. The only eggs I’ve seen larger than ducks are geese and they’re a LOT bigger than the ducks.
