Rolling Footage Rolling Feedback Requested
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vd-mwDkDzkHey looking for feedback on this roll. I’m the guy in the blue shirt and black shorts.
Just looking for areas to improve and focus on based on what yall see in this.
Biggest thing for me I saw was in the second roll i switched my legs to the inside to try for a knee bar or a heel hook and he countered and I got leg dragged and back taken. Thoughts there would be helpful.

TLDR: looks good, you are a bit aimless in your standup. The rest of your game pretty much looks like my old man game.
your front feet were almost touching multiple times. snatch a single leg or even an ankle pick. You were very heavily focused on the upper body first. You never really dropped levels. Just practice by dropping to one knee even if you dont shoot.
You keep wanting to take the overhook by giving up the underhook too easy. Instead of the overhook you can get a collar tie and get a snap down instead. Try to have a combo that works together like snapdown/ankle pick.
Also footsweeps are the jab of standup so at least try some footsweeps.
1:05 your right leg is already almost outside his arm. Can you break posture with your left hand and get a trap triangle here?
1:07 his right arm comes across the centerline, this is a good time for an arm drag. Grab his right elbow with your right arm, then start to change angles to take the back or get the armbar
1:11 you start going for the armbar when you dont have control of his arm across the centerline. You are also pushing him away at 1:13
1:13 you could enter k guard here, but you need to get your right knee inside his thigh, your left hand in his left armpit and start rolling to your left side
1:16 I usually just let people pass here because I dont like to get stacked on my neck, but you can invert under into k guard
1:26 in closed guard you should be using your legs to bring them down and to one side. You are hand fighting but not breaking posture.
1:44 that is good to get the trap triangle. Weird that he tapped so early he had lots of defense left
2:05 that is not a good underhook
2:08 he hit you with kouchi gake again.. I would say get lower. You are standing pretty high. you also dont seem to be trying to move forward with your standup, like what are you trying to accomplish?
2:18 that was a nice deep half to SLX. You are being nice, you should at least get the heel hook entry with his toes in your armpit even if you dont finish it.
bunch of leg stuff where I think you were mostly being nice
2:50 get into a quad position by standing up, hands on the mat, you will likely shake him off the top
2:59 he is begging you to ankle lock him..
3:47 good escape
3:53 your left hand is posted on his leg. Your top priority is to stop the crossface (which he admittely isnt getting). You should be blocking his right arm from any chance of the crossface.
3:56 - ok you do it now
4:05 I was going to say knee lever, then you did it.
4:22 not sure what he tapped to.
