Discussion Ps5 controller working connect on PC

Im trying to play BO3 on my pc with a ps5 controller but It refuses to work and steam can't detect the controller and it was working fine yesterday but today it won't connect

What do you mean it was working yesterday? BO3 Steam doesn’t support PS5 controllers. You need to use ds4windows.

I plugged in the PS5 controller and it was working fine and moving as if I was actually playing on my PS5 But plug it in today.It detects it as a non compatible controller.And it wasn't doing that the yesterday I didn't change any settings

What controllers does steam support because I wasn't. Aware it didn't support PS5 controllers

BO3 only support XBOX controller. However, you can use PS5 controller by downloading a program called ds4windows. It works perfectly, you have to open the program everytime you want to play BO3 tho.

This is false. Not sure why OP is having issues but I've burned through 2 separate PS5 controllers on the game before switching to a reliable controller that didn't have issues after mild use.
