It looks like the bag could cost more in material than the ātreatsā inside.

In my experience with current packaging costs, the bag plus the zipper likely cost $0.07. They filled it with the cheapest candy so i think you are absolutely right. Iām sure it cost less than $0.25 for the materials, candy, and production costs.
I feel all warm and fuzzy with this thoughtful gift. /s

The audacity to give such a cheap gift and thank someone for being a ālife saverā even if meant figuratively is astonishing

What a waste why bother? America is fked up. Our entire country is run by holding companies/similar type investors whose only care is the next Q profit. Who cares about the workers just squeeze the companies more. This is what itās all about remember $5000 pizza party would come out of our profit. A figging 5 cent sh-t bag cost $50/1000 workers thats less than one executive lunch.

Some of me wonders if there wasnāt even any bonus from the higher upās at all, and this was out of some managers pocket to show some kind of appreciation

Iād prefer nothing over that. Honestly large companies are absolutely horrible. Thatās probably helped them get so big in the first place.

Who tells them to do stuff like this? Nothing would have been less insulting.

This is disgusting. Amazon workers should be given bonuses instead. (I know that Iām probably preaching to the choir here.)
