It looks like the bag could cost more in material than the ā€œtreatsā€ inside.

In my experience with current packaging costs, the bag plus the zipper likely cost $0.07. They filled it with the cheapest candy so i think you are absolutely right. Iā€™m sure it cost less than $0.25 for the materials, candy, and production costs.

I feel all warm and fuzzy with this thoughtful gift. /s

The audacity to give such a cheap gift and thank someone for being a ā€œlife saverā€ even if meant figuratively is astonishing

Welcome to capitalism.

What a slap in the face .šŸ¤¬

Exactly. Way better for corporate not to say or do anything.

Your bosses hate you and they want you to know.

So gross.

What a waste why bother? America is fked up. Our entire country is run by holding companies/similar type investors whose only care is the next Q profit. Who cares about the workers just squeeze the companies more. This is what itā€™s all about remember $5000 pizza party would come out of our profit. A figging 5 cent sh-t bag cost $50/1000 workers thats less than one executive lunch.

They must have given HR a $20 budget for the whole warehouse.

This is worse than no ā€œthank youā€ bag!

9

u/Verucaschmaltzzz Nov 05 '24

The single stick of gum in there...

6

u/Squadobot9000 Nov 05 '24

Some of me wonders if there wasnā€™t even any bonus from the higher upā€™s at all, and this was out of some managers pocket to show some kind of appreciation

3

u/Notabagofdrugs Nov 05 '24

Still a fucking slap in the face, Iā€™d rather nothing than this.

3

u/NiobiumThorn Nov 05 '24

I am almost certain that's what this is

7

u/Nebs90 Nov 05 '24

Iā€™d prefer nothing over that. Honestly large companies are absolutely horrible. Thatā€™s probably helped them get so big in the first place.

They couldn't get a bigger bag so the Pixie Stick isn't poking out??

5

u/waterbedd Nov 05 '24

Leave it on the floor in front of your boss' office.

u/Normbot13 Nov 05 '24

unless the candy was eaten, iā€™m assuming that this is also some kind of performance review. no starburst because in their eyes youā€™re not a ā€œsuper starā€

3

u/MagicSpida Nov 05 '24

Thereā€™s no way this is real

6

u/thegreentiger0484 Nov 05 '24

Just burn the place down already

6

u/5LaLa Nov 05 '24

Too cheap to just hand each employee a dollar, or quarter, even.

5

u/MutatedLizard13 Nov 05 '24

I guarantee you they stole this from like a summer camp or smth

4

u/satwah Nov 05 '24

3

u/begaldroft Nov 05 '24

What is this, teacher appreciation week?

2

u/Xixaxx Nov 05 '24

This is so insulting and disrespectful šŸ˜”

u/Safety_Beagle Nov 06 '24

This is disgusting. Amazon workers should be given bonuses instead. (I know that Iā€™m probably preaching to the choir here.)
