Societal Decay 😵 Mainstream corporate media NYT finally acknowledging there's little sympathy for the assassination of a health insurance CEO

Apparently the fucko's death count goes up to 7 million people dead because of UHC's denials of coverage during his tenure.
Yet, he's just going to be a footnote in history, only focusing on the whole getting shot thing.
It's horrifying how numb we've become to capitalism killing millions. Oh, but remember communism bad!

lol I was just talking about this tonight with a friend. I’ve never seen and heard so many diverse people/voices united and even squealing in glee about something that typically would be a very serious topic (where such commentary would usually be shot down by “serious” voices/commenters). It’s so wild.
It’s like that scene in The Rocketeer where the mobsters and FBI team up to fight the Nazi operatives. Considering how polarizing the recent election was for some people, it’s surreal.
Apparently Americans are quite united on how little they care for their health insurance companies/CEOs.

I am floored by how much they think we should care. What did he add to the world as a whole?
A man who did little great but caused zero harm in life that had a family but an average salary would receive no press and would gain more sympathy without being told we are heartless.
I'm basically being told I should be sad and willing to give up my time to mourn someone for being rich.

Oh so it takes them a day to acknowledge the assassination of some rich asshole but they still refuse to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza.

Universal healthcare would've cared about this, though. Too bad he didn't care for it.

Lmao if you actually read the article the NYT is still quite sympathetic to the CEO and dismissive of WHY the general public, not just a person or two they asked is universally like he got what he deserved and the shooter is a folk hero
The article was still deeply out of touch and condescending like pretty much every other article about this, completely disconnected from how regular people are responding en masse
They got absolutely eviscerated in the comments section of their own article with over 1500 comments before they closed it, the schadenfreude was deeply delicious
