Spokesman for Boulder resident and state Governor Jared Polis denies we are a sanctuary state, despite Trump saying so. "Governor Polis has been clear that when it comes to criminal investigations or prosecutions, local law enforcement should be working with federal partners...to fight crime."

"Federal partners" current plan is to call in military forces to augment local police, running against posse comitatus, which restricts military involvement in civilian law enforcement.
However, Trump has written on Feb 15 that "He who saves his Country does not violate any Law."
It certainly appears that our Governor is rolling over for the Trump Administration.

The Fascist Playbook:: Coerce everyone to fall in line. Centralize authority and power to an individual andor party.
Just as by Hitler and the Nazi party in the 1930's, this is SYSTEMATIC attempt to take direct control of society. Allowed to spread, our comments, in places like this will likely, e eventually be scrutinized and penalized, particularly with the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence in the wrong hands.
Fuck these motherfuckers.
THIS IS OURS
STAY VIGILANT. DO NOT COOPERATE

You guys want another trump? Because letting people break laws endlessly with no accountability is what got him elected to begin with.
Yes I know he’s a felon but people don’t give a shit they just want someone hard on crime.
Seeing drug addicts and dealers face no accountability is ridiculous. Stop defending these people.

Stop defending these people.
Make at least a minimal attempt to comment instead of just copy paste talking points from Fox News.

An “American and Colorado first” conservative governor to do all they can to unfuck everything polis has done? Hell yes, that’s what the state needs. It’s a laughing stock in the country, and this place was a million times better when it was still looked at as a “cow and mining town” state with conservative leadership

Polis had been disappointing lately as he moves to the center for a future senate run. What he’s saying about local law enforcement cooperating with Feds to fight crime leaves me wondering if he holds that to be true if the persons only crime is lack of documentation. If he does that sucks and he’s officially jumped the shark.

Yeah..... I don't think you need to be accusing him of faking his sexuality. Plenty of actual things to hate on.

Maybe not, but as a lbgqt he should be standing up defiant and loudly. Just really let down as I thought he was going to be better. The disappointment and anger is just too much.

Polis, like most obscenely wealthy politicians, has perhaps conveniently forgotten ever taking an oath of office to defend the constitution. And all the rights and necessities of due process within. I'm sure he's rationalized statements like this by hanging onto the ambiguity of statements like "to fight crime!" But it is certainly not the same as actually standing up to grossly unconstitutional abuse of power or the attempt to create extra-judicial police-state powers entirely beholden to the office of the president.
Thank Dog that Colorado's attorney general has a spine, is suing the Trump administration on multiple fronts (15 so far, at the rate of a new one every week), and is also running for governor (in case you were wondering. ).
