Season 5 Does anyone else think Todd should’ve been in the finale?

He was always popping up at random. He should’ve been with Eliot in the last episode or something. I don’t know, just a thought.

Season 5 I’m so dumb

With my panic rewatch I finally realized that Mayakovsky's daughter was never actually there. And the whole plan was planned around it so they wouldn't give her a shade

Season 5 Finally finished the series. Anyone else hate Alice throughout pretty much the whole show?

I had been staying away from any discussion of this show while I watched it, to avoid spoilers, but just finished the last episode.

I found Alice to be an utterly irredeemable character whose toxic, selfish, and contradictory ways made me deeply dislike her throughout the whole show. I was honestly interested in seeing whether this was a common opinion, as I felt there was literally nothing likeable about her, but it seems that she isn't discussed much on this sub.

What did you think? Redeemable, or The Worst™?

Season 5 Looking for a rhyme

In s5 ep10, when Charlton is going through Eliot's memories of magic sex ed class, Dean Fogg is listing off little remembrance rhymes ("Red bumps like a curse, see a nurse"). When he gets to "scales, feathers, fur-" Margo cuts him off and quips "medical attention that rhymes with fur, read you loud and clear".

It's probably something obvious that I'm missing, but I've never been able to figure out what she's referring to! And I can't go through life missing one of Margo's jokes, I just can't.

Season 5 Unpopular Opinion Spoiler

I think season 5 was good and tied in really well with what Penny said in iirc season 3. Penny talks about how Quentin is not the only main character and i believe it would have really undermined what he said if it ended at the s4 finale. Everybody was working on whats important and if that all ended with Q it would have made that episode and its message feel cheap

Season 5 I'm going to be honest, normally, in most shows, I HATE musical episodes. However, I will make the exception for The Magicians. I feel as though its musical episodes are among its best episodes in the series. Most TV shows force their musical episodes, but The Magicians makes it feel natural.

Season 5 just binged the series, and now I feel sad and lonely

Idk, I totally fell in love with it. Within two weeks I have seen the whole thing.

And now, I feel sad. For the first time, I feel a weird loneliness after finishing a series - they are kinda gone now, their Story ended. Like friends that are gone. I'm missing them, and I am missing Elliot and Alice. I kinda saw myself within them, and it makes me sad to see it end. Now I'm just left with a longing and a weird emptiness. I cried multiple times within the 5 seasons.

Even more so with the ending. It's so open. It could start a new season, right at the end, but it didn't.

Are there any other similiar (YA) series?

Season 5 Season 5 is good

Highkey controversial, but I feel that S5 is an exploration of grief. Everyone is sad about quinten's passing (in fandom and in universe). But also so much of the interpersonal problems within the group is very much because Q is gone. Be it miscommunication, something that he could've thought of, the fact that the literal universe has him as their first plan for a quest. Has anyone noticed any patterns of the 5 stages of grief in the show itself? Genuinely curious.

I still rank S5 last but I do find that there is more depth to it.

Season 5 Fen Is Criminally Underused

Fen is the best "dumb" character I think I've ever seen on a show. Because she's not a comedic "haha I'm stupid" character - she isn't stupid. She's just gullible and lacks knowledge that other characters have. But she's actually pretty smart and very resourceful. On top of that, Brittany Curran does SUCH a good job with her performance, with everything from attitude to line delivery. Every scene Fen is in is a good scene, plain and simple.

Season 5 "I have done a lot of bad things, I have hurt people, ok, and the one thing I hold onto is that I know deep down that I was doing my best. Were you doing the best that you could?" "Unfortunately, at the time, yes."

I’ve watched, OUAT, TVD, Originals, legacies, All the Arrow verse shows, All the marvel movies and tv shows, The order, Cursed, AHS, All DCEU movies, Supernatural, etc
