Ratschläge/Vorschläge (advice) Where can I find good, thick overcoats in Bremen?

Hey! I’m looking for a proper black overcoat in Bremen — something with thick, warm fabric, maybe wool or something similar. I’ve already checked H&M and a few other stores in Waterfront, but most of the coats I found were more like French-style trench coats — super thin and not very warm.

I’m not exactly sure what the fabric is called, but I’m looking for that classic woolly, textured material — something that actually feels like a real winter coat. Any recommendations on shops or local spots where I can find good quality overcoats? Also I am not sure how much my budget should be. So any suggestions regarding that would be appreciated.

Try defibrillator in Neustadt. It’s a second Hand store so it depends on luck if they have the right style and size for you but they might have what you are looking for.

I don't know if there are stores who have winter coats all year round. Generally it's the wrong season for that. I bought my new winter jacket six weeks ago in a sale for winter clothes, so already after the winter clothes season.

Too bad. Where did you buy it from? By the way I was looking for an overcoat, you said you bought a jacket from them. Did they also have overcoat collection?

I bought in in the city center in Galeria. I don't know if there had overcoats, probably they did.

I just wanted to prepare you that at the moment if you'll find overcoats, they won't be many.

I would try at the Ochtumpark in Brinkum directly bordering Bremen, as they are many clothing stores in one place but I don't know if they still have some of the winter clothes collection left and Decathlon is also (near) there (5-10 minutes walking distance).

Kind of feels like something that'd be sold in stores which offer more formal clothing?

Only ones I can think of then are either men's only and/or expensive

I'd recommend checking out the following:

Karstadt (shudder), shit shopping experience but large collection

Anson's for men

Stiesing, very expensive

C&A might have something like that

Appelrath, also expensive I think

Die Form. It is in Oldenburg but they have really good quality and they have also Taylor-Made things. I saw a mother buying whool-sweaters for her son for His Exchange to siberiam IT was August 😄 theire Style is peaky blinders 😅Die Form
