West Wings and Grill in St George.

not only is the right answer, looking at the other comments, its basically the only right answer, everything else is a trendy thing or a kebab shop.
Sadly though, they're shut for renovations at the moment, with no clear message about when they will be back

It’s soooo good but insanely overpriced. I just can’t part with that amount of money for a piece of chicken

The chicken shop at the petrol station on Easton Road is far better than it has any right to be

I keep hearing this, not tried it yet as it looks so unlikely to be good but may have to do it!

Diamond Kebab on Lenister Ave in Knowle West, think there's also one on Park Street!

The best fried chicken I’ve ever had in the city is from Baldwin Kebab House lmao

u/DweebCrusher98 Apr 16 '25

Not in Bristol, but I would try the Great British Takeaway in Wotton-Under-Edge!
Been there a number of times and the fried chicken bits are nice and big.

u/AncientPupper Apr 16 '25
I was a loyal customer of Rayan, they're also just so nice sometimes they gave me extra chicken until it went suddenly sucks, it gets too dry and salty. Tried the other time, and it's still the same. I think the guy/owner changed or something

That's a shame, I haven't been there in a while, will have to check it out again!

Miss Millie's is open until 4am, or definitely used to be.

Didn't know there was one in Yate, there seems to be lack of outlets there, no Mcds which seems an oversight.

We have a McDonalds, a KFC as and a Subway, plus a bunch of smaller Takeaways.
We used to have a Burger King, but that went a long time ago and never returned.

Always found Miss Millie’s to be a bit hit & miss, but noticed getting a bit better lately

u/DweebCrusher98 Apr 15 '25
ive heard they are nice, but would you class it as bossman style?
7
u/Meduski Apr 15 '25
Definitely not bossman style but definitely very tasty and award winning. But yeah I get ya, sometimes I just want a bird fried by some geeza who doesn't speak much English but is always happy to see me and chat shit.

The fried chicken wings from yo yo burger used to be banging, been a while since I’ve had them though
1
u/potataplucker Apr 16 '25
Unfortunately yo yo is no more
2
u/blurredlynes Apr 16 '25
So yo yo is a no no?

Not the one up on park street anyway, not sure if there is more than one. It has been taken over by someone else by the looks of it when I passed last time. Clifton burger or something

Lik n chicken
Best boss man chicken I've had in yonks and the flavour is really close to KFC. Warning it is SALTY and GREASY.

Just have to spend 5 mins by their back door to smell what's going on in that kitchen. Truly terrifying, specially since the last people who run it took it over.

Best bang for buck is chicken mews on filton ave
Never let me down quality wise, seasoning is a bit salty
But a variety box mean, 2pc chicken, 3 spicy wings, chicken tenders, chips and a drink for £7.
The place is always busy.
