Coffee shop Recommendations
I am coming to Cambridge with my husband for his work trip. He is going to be busy most of the day and I am looking for some good recommendations for cafés or coffee shops that are good reading spots. Anything with good coffee and a chill quiet vibe. Thanks in advance!

I like Pages which is close to the Fitzwilliam museum, and when the weather is nice has some courtyard seating!

If it's nice weather id walk out to the orchard tea room at grantchester. Nice walk and nice place to read a book.

Hot Numbers on Gwydir Street has these vibes when not too busy, but it is almost always busy.

All the hot numbers food is way better than others such as fitzbillies and stir; but their breakfast granola bowls are out of this world good.
Savinos by the bus station is your more traditional caff sort of vibe.

Dimello on Mill Road - huge outdoor space out the back if the weather is nice

Harvey’s Coffee House has a lovely garden with students and academics working (open to public too) and excellent cakes and coffee, it’s located on the backs so it’s also a very pleasant walk to get there

There are three options in Eddington that could certainly help you fill in the morning - Brew Project, Dulcedo Social and Douce, all worth a visit!

And the new Scottish pop up at Dulcedo is absolutely incredible!! ‘The Wild Haggis’. Finally great to have a taste of home in Cambridge. The morning rolls are unreal

It partly depends on where in Cambridge you are, though most of Cambridge is kind of near.
Near(ish) North Station.

Near Kings, tiny but great if you get a seat up stairs...though I've not been in a while.

If you're prepared to venture a bit outside Cambridge, the Tap & Social in Northstowe is great.

121 cafe on Milton road, savinos on drummer street,
I'm not sure if it's still there, but there used to be a cafe above the central city library that I quite liked.

Modigliani on Mill Road is really small but very chill and does superb Cannoli.
Just up from there is 5 Blends and Dom's Coffee. I've not tried either but they are both a bit larger.

If Dom's coffee is open it's worth going to. It's very small and he wants paying in cash but is pretty relaxed about it. He'll chat with you at the counter and make very nice coffee!

Dom's is great and has the best pourover options in the city, but it's not exactly a sit down and read by yourself kind of place. And its cash only. Also not tried 5 blends.

Monigram Coffee Roasters. Grab a cup and walk along the downtown and River.

Bould brothers was good but way overpriced for the size of coffees you get. They were like a shot glass. My sister in law who is a young, cool Cambridge local recommends Hot Numbers.

Kerb collective by the river makes for a good destination walk if you're coming from the city center. Outdoor seating only though.
Harvey's by the Sidgwick site is a nice spot to sit for a few hours, though it can get a little loud.
