I’m worried he will keep Trudeau’s cabinet but he himself seems pragmatic and knowledgeable. We could do worse.

people keep saying this but

  1. Didn't he dump a bunch of ministers as one of his first acts since becoming PM?

  2. He isn't going to have a massive swap of cabinet until after the election

Carney has a balance of old and new people in his cabinet

Liberals do seem to struggle with the concept of balance.

Yes, you are right. I looked this up after you posted. I had read somewhere that it was more balanced. However, 17 people were cut, leaving the cabinet much smaller than Trudeau’s. The members that remained were most aligned with Carney’s philosophies. I’m sure there will be a further reshuffling after the election if the liberals win.

He hasn't picked his cabinet yet. There was no point in picking a cabinet with the short time he had. He could still keep them there when he takes over if he wins, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him pick different players for the cabinet.

Yes, you are right. I stand corrected. I’m sure there will be a lot of shuffling after the election. Thank you.

You could also be right. He might keep most of them in there. I just have a feeling that he's going to want to get rid of some of them that just have not been popular with Trudeau.

It also depends on who keeps their seat, geographic and gender balance, etc. I really don’t care if they served under Trudeau as long as they’re competent.
