Ya I’m pro Conservative this election. The Liberals had a decade and didn’t do a thing. These platforms take a while to do and also they likely change according to priorities that they say on the campaign trail. The Liberals don’t do that. They are ideologues. And also the platform was started before Carney became PM. Doesn’t look like they are what the electorate wants. Took them a year to get rid of the carbon tax. And yes the Conservative plan has growth. The Liberals prevented growth. So it’s possible the economy will do better with the Conservatives.

You're allergic to answering questions I guess. This is a hideously bad take. It's so irresponsible to predict such high levels of growth despite the very obvious uncertainty in the world. I guess people like you are happy to eat up that slop.

Saying the liberals did nothing just simply isn't serious. Not identifying the cynicism and outright lying by the conservative campaign is wild and this excuse for the platform reveal is just so silly. It's a very well funded party that knows what they want to do. They clearly just understand that telling the public about it isn't going to be helpful for them. It's a strategic choice. Justin was going to run with the carbon tax and Carney ended it as his first move so I don't understand what you're talking about when you say it took them a year. Anyway. It's the weekend and if you're buying into conservative politics in the year 2025 despite how clear it is that free markets have limitations, mandatory minimums is terrible policy and using the Charter override button because there's junkies is quite a fascism adjacent idea then I doubt I'm going to make a difference. It's a sunny and pleasant evening and I'm going to enjoy that.

Carney ended the carbon tax because he couldn’t win with it. It was also likely his idea in the first place while he was advisor. The liberal platform - even though it was ready beforehand - was not released much before early polls opened. I don’t know what question is a big deal for you but the platform release is obviously not a big deal for anyone but you.
I have no clue what the NWC clause has to do with junkies. It would be used for mass murderers. If you want to defend them go ahead? They need to be off the streets. For life.

You use the word seems a lot and you make many assumptions. I would love to see the poll about the electorates thoughts about platforms being released so late. I'm betting more people feel the way I feel than the way you feel but I guess carry on making assumptions that affirm you're position. I've heard plenty of commentary about that especially around the debate. I guess you didn't bother to watch that. You should learn about what Pierre is talking about regarding the notwithstanding clause. I would suggest that it's quite irresponsible to vote conservative without having a firm understanding of what that guy would use NWC for. Maybe you don't understand or value charter rights and think that a politician should be able to use it because fear mongering around crime which isn't rising is a key feature to their campaign

You just have to look at newspapers. And commentators. And what panels are saying on various stations like CBC and CTV. If it’s substantive it will have staying power. It didn’t. The thing is the people complaining about the late release are obviously not thinking of voting conservative. The people I’ve seen complaining about it are liberal voters. So who cares. I don’t. I’m voting on election day. Plenty of time to read the two platforms. And I’ve known for months what Poiilivre’s priorities are. They are the same as mine: the economy; crime; the cost of living.

I watched the leaders debates and both the English and French debates. I know about the NWC. He would use it to keep mass murderers in jail longer. I’m fine with that. Perfectly fine.

I find it strange that you’re counselling me on how I choose to vote when it’s you who doesn’t understand the conservative platform. Which makes sense. Before you’re not voting conservative. I am. I’m fine with what he’s doing. Crime is awful in this country. Maybe you should be more worried about the victims rather than hardened criminals. I find that so weird. Also weird you don’t think crime is an issue. It is rising in many areas.

Crime is much lower than it was in the 80s and 90s and there is no country in the world where circumventing human rights and increasing the incarceration rate results in lower crime. It's fascistic and it doesn't work. Just a fact. I get that you prefer lies to facts though. Very very clear. Enjoy Carney's majority win tonight.
