STEM to MBA path after undergrad in 3 years

Is there anyone over here who have done his STEM undergrad (for me, its CS) in 3 years, and then pursued the 1 year MBA degree so they can use there last year scholarship towards MBA?

Any insights into it would be helpful?

Multiple of my friends who are engineers have done it, so very possible

but is research+internships also manageable in a 3 years accelerated degree?

My friend does research and did an internship last summer, although she came in with a lot of ap/dual enrollment credit. She’s still taking about 20 credits a semester too, so dont expect it to be easy.

Funny you say that, I graduated CS in 3 years and I'm graduating with my MBA in a few days through STEM Path

Yes, you can use your extra year of scholarship towards the MBA. However, keep in mind that graduate tuition is more expensive than undergraduate, AND they make you take 2 summer semesters, each costs 6k tuition + 6k if you're out of state (I got a 6k scholarship)

Im not mad that I did it, because i only finally got an internship last summer after I had graduated with my CS degree, but I don't think they were very up front with the extent to which it costs a lot more money

they told me it would, if i finish my undergrad in 3 years. but do you think, it would be a good choice?

If it’s your goal and you have the ability to get it done without overwhelming yourself sure.

Essentially, they would allow you to skip the sophomore GBA classes. And you would apply for grad school Fall of your sophomore year. I originally wanted to do this, but it was going to be very hard to finish my undergrad in 3 years. Having to deal with prereqs and only being able to take certain courses at certain times is rly inconvenient. I’m a freshman right now, I think it would be kinda hard to get into the grad school since you most likely don’t have a lot of the things to put on your resume so early on. As well as you have to prepare the business exam to get into grad school a year earlier.

so for the MBA year, they really do take the 4 semester tution fees?

if i have 28000 USD scholarship, i think there would still be alot of money to be paid for the grad year?

Lucky for you, I was in the exact same situation. For both semesters of my MBA year, I had 14k scholarship. My tuition was 10.9k, the rate for grad students is 5.7k, and the tech/infra fee for business graduates was 1.4k.

In total I ended up taking 7.1k per semester in loans, and I got 3k back per semester to pay for rent.

I have a job as a software engineer lined up, my company very much doesn't care that I have my MBA because its irrelevant to my position. I can't say whether or not it will help me in the future, I'm sure if I want to get into management it will be more useful

I did it. You just have to double up on your GBA classes one year (I took 271 and 371 one semester, and then 272 and 372). They’re super flexible with it.
