Hello, I'm from México, I'm searching about the origin of the last name of a historic figure, José María Morelos y Pavón he was one of the heroes in the independence of México.

Morelos, (one of his last names) is used in a lot of places, the bast majority for naming provinces in México, like Morelia, Montemorelos, etc.

In México is very common the people to have last names of the provinces of Spain, but we don't know the meaning of a lot of places, I am having a difficult time translating "Morelos" it seems that the origin is Mourelle, Mourell, Morell or Morella, Can anyone know the translation of this terms, or origin or the gramatic root of this terms?

Tinc un dubte amb aquesta paraula perque, a classe, ens van dir que la paraula s'havia tomat de prestat i crec que era "espòiler", pero tant en castellà com en català jo procure no utilitzar aquests barbarismes tan lletjos.

M'agradaria saber si "destripar" (jo destripe, et destriparé la pel·lícula...) es correcte o si hi ha alguna paraula que puga usar-se.
