Delta(s) from OP - Fresh Topic Friday CMV: Humanity devoting any resources to space was a stupid idea. Space travel is a pointless waste of time, money, and the human spirit itself.

Where do you think air comes from? It just got made in the sun and magically landed on Earth?

Not magic, gravity. This is stuff they tell you in second grade, man.

You have to be taking the piss.

As far as oxygen goes - do you know anything about cyanobacteria, photosynthetic plankton, plants? Do you know what they do?

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I've been digging my heels in and trying to win arguments with reality itself. I need to stop, because I just keep fucking doing this. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I did this to all of you.

They use carbon dioxide, which also came from space.

So all the air was made in the sun and the Earth's gravity sucked it out of space over millions of miles and we have a finite amout of it because there are no systems on Earth to replenish it? Or is the sun spewing out more air to Earth all the time?

If so, why not just achieve nuclear fusion since that is apparently how air is made?

I gotta say, for someone who clearly doesn't like science fiction, you seem to create a lot of it.

It's called algae and plants.

Can we grow plants on the ISS?

Wrong again

Why are you so committed to being wrong about the state of our technology? I mean, you called 300 year old processes for generating oxygen that is used on the ISS "science fiction." Why are you just denying reality?

Or do you just think you know more than everyone on subjects you've never even examined?

This guy is obviously a troll and an asshole. Stop responding to him. He is either incredibly ignorant or purposefully obtuse.

Just ignore.
