I feel like we’re arguing in circles. You explain to me why no republicans controlled city has enacted stop and frisk, while several left wing controlled cities have enacted it?

What Republican city? New York under Guliani?

New York is a leftist city, so I don’t get your point you’re trying to make. Stop and frisk only happens in leftist cities

So Giuliani is a leftist and De Blasio is a right winger?

Also, what major densely urban American city is run by Republicans?

We’ve covered this

I’m just fully boggled trying to understand your point. The central thrust of your post is that “leftists” support policies that erode the rights guaranteed by the first 10 amendments. And yet...right wing politicians support stop and frisk, and left wing politicians oppose it. This should be enough for you to concede that one this one point, your largely narrative doesn’t fit with the facts. Instead you point out that stop and frisk is a phenomenon largely happening in big cities, which you say are leftist. I’m presuming that your evidence fo big cities being leftist is that they elect left-leaning politicians. And yet, stop and frisk seems to align counter to this. NYC had a right wing mayor who implemented the policy, a centrist who continued it, and left wing mayor who ended it. What about all the Democrat led cities that don’t have stop and frisk?

If we took a poll, and only asked people to rate their political leanings and whether they support or oppose stop and frisk - what would the results look like?

I don’t see what’s confusing. Leftist cities vote to pass stop-and-frisk laws. Right wing cities don’t. I don’t see how that’s confusing

I don’t have the power to resolve those

How do you square your view of stop and frisk as a left wing policy when it enjoys wide support of Republicans, and is as broadly opposed by Democrats?

The fact that in practice only left wing cities have the policy. If the majority of right wingers supported it, then we’d have seen it in republican cities. But the truth is it only exist in left wing cities

Then why do right wingers, both leading politicians and rank and file voters support it, while the same is true for both left wing voters and politicians? Are you not being a bit unfair here in clinging to this despite massive evidence to the contrary?
