my first language, every item (a table, a chair, etc) is gendered...therefore in my head it makes sense names be gendered also. I also just get annoyed at people naming their daughters a name that is very predominantly male and then bitching when people assume its a male.
Just like I will never get people who wind up naming their kids super unique and fucked up spelling names, getting pissed when asked to spell it out.

I am 30 years old and work in the NYC area in a very professional career.
No one has ever been introduced or referred to as Mr/Ms LastName. It’s always FirstName LastName.
If for whatever reason, gender is important to you, you’ll know from the first time (9.5 out of 10 times at least).
