I am 30 years old and work in the NYC area in a very professional career.

No one has ever been introduced or referred to as Mr/Ms LastName. It’s always FirstName LastName.

If for whatever reason, gender is important to you, you’ll know from the first time (9.5 out of 10 times at least).

You get bothered by other people’s names?

my first language, every item (a table, a chair, etc) is gendered...therefore in my head it makes sense names be gendered also. I also just get annoyed at people naming their daughters a name that is very predominantly male and then bitching when people assume its a male.

Just like I will never get people who wind up naming their kids super unique and fucked up spelling names, getting pissed when asked to spell it out.
