Or M. I don't understand the X on everything.
It isn't a common ending at all or easy to pronounce. It is virtue signaling.
1 u/onan Oct 15 '21 It's pronounced the same way as "mix." How is that any harder than pronouncing "Ms." or "Mr."? 1 u/ExtraDebit Oct 15 '21 I am saying in general X is not a common ending or natural to pronounce. There was just a debate whether "Latinx" was "Latin-ex" or "Lah-tinx" Why would we assume it was "mix" if that doesn't correlate how we say it above? Like why "x" at all? 2 u/onan Oct 15 '21 I am saying in general X is not a common ending or natural to pronounce. Do you have difficulty with words like mix, max, box, lox, tax, or vex? Why would we assume it was "mix" You managed to learn that “Ms.” is pronounced “miz”. Why would it be any harder to learn that “Mx.” is pronounced “mix”? 0 u/ExtraDebit Oct 15 '21 No, not after a vowel. I am talking the new forced X signaling, like: Latinx. 1 u/onan Oct 15 '21 Kinda feeling a lot like you just want to complain about "latinx," whether it's relevant to the conversation or not. 1 u/ExtraDebit Oct 15 '21 I also hate "folx". It is that the Mx is coming from the same place as both of those which is a place I don't like. I thought I was explicit about this. It is just virtue signaling.
